That isn’t what hunt said. He basically said LSU is probably in but it isn’t a lock. This whole thread is a lie and getting people pissed for no reason. OP created clickbait and everyone bought and bitched about clickbait.

Oregon St is laughable. They have what, 5 Q1 wins? They’ve played nobody.

Would not shock me if we didn't get a top 8 seed. But if we win a few games in the SEC Tourney I just expect this team to be a top 8 seed. We had a few bad weekends but I am not overly concerned with the seeding. Beating Auburn in the SEC Tourney could help to solidify getting a top 8 Seed.

Who was the last SEC team with 19 conference wins to not be a national seed?

When is last time a team that finished top 3 in the SEC standings wasn’t a national seed?

Correct. So anyone who says they “wouldn’t be shocked” for them to leave LSU out of the top 8 is full of shite.

Was skeptical of this comment. Looked at OSU's schedule. You are correct.

The OP tried to backtrack in another post in this thread but still hasn't corrected his OP. So a bunch of idiots are still coming in here, reading the original post and bitching without reading any of the rest of the thread.

Georgia: 1 RPI, better SOS
Texas: SEC champs
Vanderbilt: 3 RPI, 2 more Q1 wins
Arkansas: 20 SEC wins
Auburn: 2 RPI, 2 more Q1s, sweep
UNC: 7 RPI, 11-5 Q1
Oregon St: 6 RPI
Oregon: B1G champs, 9-1 Q1

Why LSU should be ahead of each team
UGA- More Q1 and Q2 wins, more SEC wins
Texas- lock
Vandy- Fewer Q1 losses, series losses to Arky, OU
Auburn- more SEC wins
UNC- only 8 Q1 wins but they will give an ACC team a spot
Oregon St.- 10 Q1 wins, played their "tougher" opponents earlier, got swept in the only tough series
Oregon- RPI 12, didnt play a single tough series on the road. Played 41 Q3/Q4 games. That is more than double just about every other team at the top.

Someone already responded to your question. However, context matters. There are far more teams with 19 conference wins this year than there typically are.

Also it was also rare for an SEC team to have 16 conference wins and not host a Regional and they selected us to be in Southern Miss' Regional back in '22. So again it would not shock me because its an actual selection committee and there are arguments for 10-12 teams to be a top 8 seed. There are going to be some left out so no it would not shock me if we just happened to be one of them even though I think we will be a top 8 seed.

Everyone was shocked by this.

So, like I said, anyone who’s pretending they wouldn’t be shocked if LSU is left out of the top 8 is full of shite.

It’s not 10-12 teams, it’s 10 teams and LSU has a better resume than 8 of them.
