the Dandy one bleeds purple & gold. his stories of the past reminds me of "the Waltons" TV show. Simpler times for sure.

Dang this sucks. Dandy was the first real lsu website I ever checked out back in the late 90s.

Dandy Don and his stories make me appreciate even more being from Louisiana and being a fan of LSU. I don't love LSU because of Saban..or Miles...or Matt Mauck or Honey Badger because I have loved LSU for all of my 50 years. I love LSU because my grandfather lived to see 'em play and because of the Galloping Ghost...the Earthquake game... Bert Jones and all those Saturday nights listening to Jim Hawthorne on KWKH. And I love LSU because the great old fans like Dandy Don have passed it all down to me.

Damn that sucks. I haven't read in a while, but that was my first medium of daily LSU sports info. I went there starting when I was 10. I remember waking up before going to school and seeing what Dandy don had to say. Sad indeed.
