Yep. Only time I ever rushed the field after a game. Remember the security guard/policeman telling everyone to stay in the stands and us telling him he better get out of the way. No way he was going to stop what was coming. And I was 35 yrs old.LOL. Sold my house to Faulk in 2020. Had him autograph my Sports Illustrated with him on the cover at the closing.

Best game at Tiger Stadium I ever went to. If I remember correctly, some Florida fans came over to the student section with a banner before the game. Someone went behind them, grabbed the banner, and threw it into the student section. It was ripped to shreds, of course. Will never forget that game. The only time we sat down was at halftime.

This was the peak home game experience of college for my time there.
It was espn’s first time sending game day to campus back when it was a newer thing. Chris Fowler, and Herbie (who was new) came out and talked w us in the crowd after the show and were super chill and good guys. Signed a hat for me and I was able to track down Corso later in the day and got him to sign it as well.
The night before we had a contest between two groups of friends to break into TS and race to see who could grab the espn sign they put on the chain link at top of lower bowl. That parephenalia may or may not have been hung in an apartment for the rest of college.
The student section literally never stopped having a baseline yell when we were on defense. I may have only sat at halftime. Still have my student ticket stub and grass in a frame w all the SI photos.
One of my small joys is knowing that even though Spurrier dominated us at UF, we not only dominated him versus his best teams at South Carolina, but we literally made him quit midseason after he lost to us. Payback bitch!

That was a great game and the stadium was electric. The euphoria lasted one week as we got upset at home by a mediocre Ole Miss team because we couldn't tackle Deuce McAlister.
Not to put a damper on things, that was Tiger Stadium at one of its top ten best nights.

I was so pissed cause I went to the Auburn game where LSU lost and decided not to go to the Florida game.

John Avery had a much better game than Deuce that day.
Avery had 128 yards and TDs.
Deuce had 18 yards and 1 TD.

97 Was my last year as a student. Something felt different about that game going into it and the the Work Em Silly Gators sheet incident was the spark that the student section needed as if say we ain't going to take this shite no more. The bars in Tiger Land were a zoo that night.

Turned 21 that night! Greatest Birthday present ever… parts of the stadium planted all over the place!

Was in the North endzone with my brother. One of the best games ever. Brother and I ended up on the field on opposite ends. Found each other an hour or so later after a long spell of carrying our share of goal post revelry.

Friday night. 50+ plus kids and I were there. Herbie said it was the first time night before a crowd showed...
He then asked where the women are at? We all laughed until we realized he was serious. Tiger Plaza brah.

I was grounded for throwing a party at my parents house the wknd before. Still pissed about that.

I kept a piece of that torn bedsheet for years. I will always be convinced that him stealing the Work Em Silly Gators sheet was THE inciting incident that kept the student section on our feet the entire game. It changed the whole atmosphere of the place.

That game had to be incredible, in person.
On a side note, I sprained my ankle that evening running around the house yelling, “ we beat those a**holes, we beat those a**holes”.

That was the first year I had my season tickets…section 302 (was East Box 7 then). We were right behind the UF bench. It was nuts when Tyler went up the sideline in front of us.
Side note: Earlier in the day my buddy who was using my other ticket approached a couple of guys selling student tickets for $50 a piece. He told them that was scalping so they asked if he was a f****** cop? He was a part time Sherriff’s deputy at the time (in another parish) and had his badge on his hip. He decided to give them a hard time…then the BRPD showed up. They talked for 15 minutes then escorted him to a patrol car parked at the natatorium.
I then approached the officer to ask if my friend was being arrested. He said it was none of my f****** business and I needed to go back to my truck. I told him my friend was riding with me and I needed to know where I would be able to get him. He then said I was being arrested and reached for my wrist…I pulled back reflexively. He then keyed his mike while driving his shoulder into my chest and said I got physical with him….sooo at 3:03 I was sitting in the back of a patrol car wondering if I’d make the game. Thankfully I did. Then I got to see my other friend’s girlfriend get run over by the goalpost …ended up with stitches. A day I’ll never forget.

Loudest event I ever attended.
I was in the student section and there were times I couldn't hear the band.
Best part was the FU fans who came over before the game with a Work Em Silly Gators sign.

The guy running between the 2 Florida sign holders and then into the Student Section which parted and closed like the Red Sea to allow him in and the two Florida fans out may be my favorite memory of my college years.
Them walking to a police officer and explaining that their sign had just been stolen and destroyed and the officer’s subsequent reaction of what the hell you want me to do about it was the icing on the cake.
Here’s a link about the sign and its history for Florida fans…a few paragraphs in it mentions the LSU incident. Work ‘Em Silly
