If you looks at the year Wade was fired and the class he had coming there is every possibility he was poised to take the next step to elite 8 and further. And FWIW I have a friend that’s a big booster who had lunch recently with a friend of his in Raleigh, NC that is a friend of WW and he said Wade does not like it at NCST. Supposedly they haven’t been doing what they said they would do if he came. And he and his wife loved it here. So never say never.

Debatable. I do not believe LSU gave the financial support a lot of other SEC schools did the last 3 years. And the injuries to Reed last year and Reed and DJ this year are have affected the team. That being said we should have beaten SC and KY at home. No excuses. And possibly TAM on the road. Do I believe we would only have 1 loss if everyone was healthy. Yes. But the fact is he should have beaten SC and KY at home. At some point you have to win the games you have to win. Especially at home. It is time for a change.

This is absolutely his best team. Which other team had a PG anywhere near DJ? And if Reed doesn't get injured I believe they make some serious noise in theSEC.And he hasn't had the financial support that other successful schools have had in the SEC and he has had some bad luck with injuries but bottom line is he still needed to make the tournament this year. And he should have beaten SC and KY. There are no excuses for those losses. So short of DJ coming back and them going on some miracle run they probably don't make the tournament and he gets fired. As far as Wade, I just don't see him leaving NCST however he does have the recruiting relationships in LA and he did love coaching at LSU. If they can get him I'm good with that. No doubt the excitement would be off the charts like with Kiffen.

While admitting that losing Reed and DJ was a very bad setback for this team they still should have won the SC game and especially this game. KY was the proverbial nail in the coffin. While I will still maintain that Mcmahon didn't get the financial support he should have the first 3 years, he needed to win those 2 games regardless of DJ not playing. It is what it is. If he doesn't make the tournament he will most probably be fired . I really don't see the benefit to firing him right now and feel he should get the benefit of getting DJ back and finish the year but the writing is on the wall and they should probably part ways at the end of the season.

Even the guy on SEC after the game said, Take Tanner off Vandy and you basically have LSU without DJ. yes they should have beaten SC at home without DJ but to act like losing 24 ppg 8-12 assists pg and 5-6 rebounds per game between Reed and DJ ,not to mention your 2 team leaders, is easy to overcome shows you know nothing about basketball.

Where’s the idiot that said we would get boatraced today. To play #11 Vandy this close on the road without DJ gives some positivity to when he comes back. Great effort for a shorthanded Tiger team.

This is a great Indiana team but will say the SEC in 2019 was head and shoulders above the current SEC. Apples and oranges..The teams we beat were much better. You think Indiana dominates the AL or GA of 2019? Much less play a regular season schedule in the 2019 SEC?

Baker's defense played like the defense we expected the last 4 games.Gave up 18 ppg. with little to no offense.And without his All SEC LB. If he has his entire defense against Houston it isn't even close. I expect a more physical and invasive DL next year.

Did you see him get pissed when one of his asst coaches hugged him while celebrating the Beck go ahead TD. Threw his arms up and basically says GTF off of me. Was still time on the clock and knew game wasn’t over. Very Saban like.

DJ picked it up in the second half. Hard to tell how motivated these players are in a meaningless bowl game without 5 of your best defensive players. But he bounced back in second half.
