I called BS on most of you because I was there (when they allowed umbrella's in the stadium) and there were hardly anyone in the stands. Once Miami got up by 21 everyone left. I think the final score was 44 - 3 and I was soaking wet. I was on the West side, 10 yard line and it was the most miserable game ever in Tiger stadium.

It was 44-3 and it emptied out quickly. I got straight A's on my report card and those tix were my gift. Ate at Ruth Chris too. Had a mushroom for the first time and love them to this day. One of my most favorite memories with my Dad

Well, that's relevant...

I was and so was my dad and brother. Dad got hit with a flagpole in south end zone.

Was there. Walked to the stadium from a friend's house off campus (near LSU Ave, I think). Didn't know Miami was bringing their mascot. Miserable night !

I wss watching that game living here in Ga. I know y'all who were there must've been so miserable. The rain on ESPN was the closest to the Bears-Eagles "fog bowl" playoff game I've ever seen. Almost 0 visibility. I actually bet a douche cane fan at school that we'd beat them. Um.....no.

ok, LSU wasn’t that good before Saban got there
this comment keeps coming up. you must be a young frick. it's not like LSU was a dormat before saban. we had some damn good teams, had won a nattie and could claim others if we claimed like bama does. but you young fricks like lsu was shite before saban. lsu made saban. he wasn't shite before lsu.

I was there too. Miami brought their damn mascot - horrible weather. It seemed every time LSU got in the red zone there was a fumble, a penalty, etc. When the dam broke it was over. Miami receivers were great.

my cousin had on an lsu shirt but didn't have a poncho. he bought one right before the game and, wouldn't you know it, it was bright orange. he got harassed the entire game with tiger bait chants. he showed everybody he had on an lsu shirt but, that didn't stop it.
to this day, hardest rain I've ever experienced at a game. torrential. there was so much rain it reflected the light so brightly that it was hard to see at times.

Here's another old-timer who was there and I agree it was the hardest rain and worst visibility I've experience at a game. Which was merciful under the circumstances. The 2005 Peach Bowl was sweet revenge, though long in coming.
