Terrible tragedy! With that being said, he does not have any kids. So, whoever is reporting needs to know & stop spreading news that it's his kid because it's Not!

Young boy passed away today after being pronounced brain dead from a gun shot wound to the head. I can’t even imagine the feeling.
Make sure your firearms are secured and out of reach.

Father God we lift up Derrius son tonight and their entire family and loved ones. Lord we pray for the doctors and specialists caring for him. We ask you Father for a miracle for this baby and that you will strengthen his body from his head to his toes and help him to overcome this traumatic injury.
