The GT win had no impact, just as it would have had no impact if it had been a loss. The Chavis hire was more important, although I really don't regard him as the home run that Miles needed after such a monumental failure as Malveto. Chavis will obviously be an improvement, but then who wouldn't?

It's not called a 'down' or 'rebuilding' year for nothing
Down I'll grant you, but this was not a rebuilding year. What exactly did we build? Did anyone on our defense accomplish anything this year that will help them next year? Did two games at QB prepare Jordan Jefferson to be our quarterback next year? Did young players that will have to step into starting roles next year get the necessary experience?
This was a down year. It was not a rebuilding year because we wasted it not rebuilding anything. We are starting over next year in the same position we started this one.

How could he have looked at Lee and Jefferson every day in practice and still play Lee over him
Just like everyday he watched the db's and continued to play mccray at the nickel, taylor at the safety position, and k williams continuing to field and return kicks

I wonder how many people who posted a +1 were at the games cursing out Coach Miles or Crowton
but FWIW..+1

2-3 loses were due to letting RP go. 2-3 loses were due to no DC. Only the second was Mile's fault.

I never lost faith in him. I knew it was going to be a rough season the day LM announced Perriloux was rightly-so kicked off the team.

I don't know if that applies in my case. I was never in "Trust the Hat"/"Fear the Hat" rah-rah brigade that had passionate faith in him.
I'm still not sure that Les is a great coach.
I hope he is and I want him to be and I'm very pleased at the manner in which we won over GT.
I know he won a national title and I know his record. And I hope I can eat some crow in his honor cause I like the guy and think he's a good guy. I'm pulling for him because his success = LSU's success.
very well said . I couldn't agree more . We won one confernce game in TS this season. I have a problem with this. Because I have a problem with this , I am a bandwagoner negatiger. I have yet to be impressed with CLM as a Head Coach. Great gameplan against the bumblebees, unfortunately we don't play in the ACC . That being said , I hope CLM proves me wrong .

I think Miles wanted to redshirt JJ. But that being said, I think he made a mistake by playing him earlier in the year but not allowing him to pass to see what he could do.
