Forgot about Nola, our second best hitter, third best overall.

Terrible news. I was hoping he would end up in Chicago.

Agreed. I would put him behind Bregman and just ahead of Nola. It's probably pretty close between all three. Nola has been killing it the past couple seasons... He just doesn't get any run support.

Phillies should be even more improved this season so if he keeps it up, look out!

LeMahieu is one of those players more recognized as a gamer by fellow players than by fans. Perhaps in New York, he can garner some spotlight.

IDK. Ive been to rockies games and always see people wearing his jersey or the tshirt with his name. When i was there this summer he was the only player that only had the 2x or 3x sizes nothing else. So he seems to be the popular player amongst rockies fans.

not trying to be an a-hole, but that's probably because they don't order as many for him. For instance, I'm a Memphis Grizzlies fan, and they NBA fan shop is always sold out of their stuff, and that's not because Grizzlies gear is in high demand.

Maybe, but then why did other players, ones i never heard of , have all the sizes? And why did I see a butt load of people wearing his Jersey?

And i actually worked for a pro shop in the past, and when we didnt have certain sizes for a certain player, its because they sold out.

Saw him play in Colorado. HR and double the night I was there. Made several great plays in field too. Moves really good for a big guy. Good for him.

He may be one of the few players whose HR numbers go up leaving Coors field

He is going to love that short porch in right field

Dude, Nola just finished 3rd for the Cy Young
Nola is better right now, and so is Bregs

But DJ at this point is the most accomplished Tiger by a decent margin

Well, he's also been in the majors twice as long as either one of them, and that's not what he said either. He even admitted he forgot about Nola when he made his original comment, so there's that too.

Great news!!! Hope this means Machado goes somewhere else. He is lazy and a dirty player. Yanks need to pass on Machado.

Great news!!!

Yankee fan since '52...my the golden years of Yankee baseball. Saw many of the greats through the end of 70's...Ralph Terry win a 9 inning game (no closer), Whitey Ford win a 9 inning game (no closer)...different times. Saw "LA Lightning" win a September game.

Gotta stop here! So glad he is there, one of my favorite Tiger ball players.

Seems to be a bit of an odd fit on the surface, a Gold Glove 2B used as a utility player but I am sure Yankees aren't counting on Tulo making it out of Spring Training healthy much less half a season until Didi returns so DJ plays second and Torres slides to his natural position SS. Then when Didi returns they can go a few different ways. Maybe Andujar continues to struggle and is taken off of third and DJ goes there. I can see Andujar moved to 1B, LF or DH with Stanton going to LF

That’s awesome. He has been great in Colorado but no one knows it because he is in Colorado.

He sure has been. The year after he won the batting title, he made the all star team again, and Keith Law, who's opinion I value least of all baseball pundits, took the time to dedicate an article (or at least most of an article) to trashing DJ, and saying how incredibly overrated he was, because he didn't hit enough home runs, didn't draw enough walks, and played in Colorado. He said that the batting title was a fluke and that he was making the all star team because of what he did the previous year.

He wrote this while DJ was hitting just over .300, I believe, and an OBP of about 360, and he also failed to recognize that he was then, and probably still is the best defensive second baseman in the game.

I don't like the Yankees, but I hope DJ destroys the baseball and wins another Gold Glove, in the spotlight of New York. Keith would probably write a book about how much he loathes DJ, then.
