destrehan, i tailgate in the same area...pretty close to nicholson, just about where it splits and under a tree...shite, we might even tailgate together
i'll probably be out there around 8-8:30 just in case some of these mountaineers decide to get all uppity

I'm under one of the bigger trees right by the splitting road. Unless you are in the MBA school, I doubt we tailgate in the same spot. I might do the same as you and get out there earlier than planned.

It's not that bad. It's kind of cool walking through so many tailgates on the way to the game. I like our spot because of the free parking, space, and ease of access. It's also pretty easy to get out after the game.

yeah, it's really not...tons of space to do whatever. not having to compete too bad with other people's music. and just grab a beer or two for the walk to the stadium and it's not bad at all

Is it really packed out that way that a few WV tailgaters couldn't fit in anywhere? I never get to walk to that end of campus during gameday.

Well, that area they have staked out really won't be all that hard to find a spot to set up if they get their early enough. You usually see alot of opposing fans in that area, b/c they're not gonna get any closer to the stadium.
Now where the Alumni tailgate is, either they have the spot wrong on the map, or they plan on raiding some people's apartment complex. I do remember a large contingent of couches sitting in front of the dumpster there, maybe that's where they're planning on tailgating.

Is the alumni spot at in the Walk-on parking lot? I can't tell. Last night, I was listening to one of the sports talk shows that is held at Walk-ons. They said that Walk-ons was setting up a tent in the parking lot prior to the game because 500 WVU fans were supposed to tail gate there before the game. Maybe that is what the alumni tailgate is.

The spot they have on the map is across from Walk-ons, which is actually a gravel parking lot and some apt complex's. Walk-ons always sets up a tent for the bigger games, for bands and such post-game. Who knows where they plan on tailgating.

Ok, this HAS to be the work of one moronic WV fan who just has no clue what they're doing.
The alumni tailgate is in the middle of an Apartment complex! Any idiot can get on google maps or mapquest and figure this out.

No the embassy apartment complex is more on gourrier.
The area they have marked is actually a pretty open grassy area (that gets muddy when wet). Of course they should get early or else it fills up with vehicles. I'm assuming they won't have any trouble getting a tailgating judging on how many vehicles I usually see parked in that area.
Eta: ah didn't noticed the second star. Yeah that's in a parking lot and in the apartment complex. So I don't know what the alumni base is thinking. The big purple area is fine though
