when is the deadline on this...if he's legitimately being offered 3+ million he's a fool not to take it...you can always pull a booty/mauck if it doesn't work out

TCU's ace pitcher Matt Purke was the 1st Round pick (14th overall) by the Texas Rangers. He was negotiating for a deal in the $5.5 - $6 million range until MLB took over the checkbook. He was ultimately offered $3 million... to which he promptly called TCU's coach and inquired if there was still a roster spot available for him.
