My brothers and I watched a couple practices last week and were talking amongst ourselves in regards to talent and depth at tackle.

Charles will be solid for us as long as he stays healthy but Deculus needs to take a huge step forward this season.

It’s football and every team suffers injuries but OT is absolutely the only place we can’t afford to lose a starter. I think Rosenthal will get a good bit of playing time only because lack of depth. He’s a going to be a very good SEC tackle next year but he’ll have major growing pains this year.

We’ll see what happens. Not an ideal position you want to be in going into the season with so little talented depth at Tackle but if they can stay healthy they’ll be a very above average football team.

I think it’s a myth that LSU’s offensive line problems are all on the OT’s...

I actually watch the games with a focus on the OL....the entire line struggled last year.....especially against Bama.....Q Williams is a nose tackle....he lines up against centers and guards.....

He ate LSU’s center and guards lunches most of the game.....

Go rewatch the game on YouTube and get back with me....

As a matter of fact 1 or 2 plays after Deculas was taken out of the Bama game....his replacement whiffed on a block that almost got Joe Burrow sacked for a safety....

I’m sure just because the pass rush came from the RT spot...the rantards automatically assumed it was on Deculas...well it wasn’t....

Looks and plays like are 2 different things....

I hope he has learned how to prevent a 250 lb linebacker from pulling him to the ground (Anfernee jennings)......LSU was driving down the field...it’s 3rd down and 2.....hand off to Brossette to the LEFT SIDE OFF TACKLE RUN......Jennings throws Charles down to the ground right as Charles engages the block....Charles falls....Jennings and others tackles Brosette for no gain....we punt...

A 250 lb linebacker threw our 305 lb OT to the freaking ground....

Explain to me how shite like that happens???? It looks like a Judo move to me ....go rewatch it....does Saban pay Judo masters to show a Line backer that’s giving up 50lbs how to throw a OT to the ground.....geez

My point: if Charles doesn’t get thrown down....Brosette bounces it to the the edge for an easy 2 yard pick up....instead, he was forced inside by Jennings right into Moses...

These little details are what drive me nuts about Bama....drive killers....one simple judo move and a tackle for no gain...

Charles had offseason surgery last year. He basically didn’t workout his upper body all summer

Ok. Point taken....so if he was so weak....why was he playing the most important position on the line?

Was there really no one else to play LT?

LSU started 9 different OL last year. Tons of injuries there. I think 3 different guys started at LT.

I think Dec will flourish at RT.....

I think if he could just learn to move a speedy edge rusher wide and away from the qb.....

Hey Dec, watch the Clemson/Bama game for some pointers.....they held A Jennings, Moses, and Buggs in check most of the game...

Hopefully Deculus has improved from getting beat by walk-ons in the spring game..

Momentum? The LB had a running start and the OLman was flat footed??

Cool so you found one example from the last 6 years.
