I disagree, this can easily be chalked up as a bad loss from the crash drama thursday, especially if they beat OU pretty well and Oregon loses.

I'm just saying that they wouldn't have to "wedge" in and they're already ranked higher than Arkansas in the computers.

Well I have to figure Arkansas would get one helluva bump for beating LSU. Plus, I am little concerned about what happens if the Aggies win out and SC beats Clemson

There is NO WAY OSU can play for the NC after losing to a 27 point underdog

True, but OUs loss came in the middle of the season. OkSU is too close to the end. They will drop behind Clemson. I just cant see them being in the mix..

LSU 07 would like a word with ya mate...anything can happen. They lost a game away after a huge campus tragedy on thursday night, you can't tell me their won't be a little sympathy from voters from that, especially if they ebat OU by 10+ and Oregon or Alabama loses...

Really?

Because OU lost AT HOME to Texas Tech who OSU beat on the road 66-6 last week.

So by your logic, OU shouldn't even be an afterthought, but the fact is that most people think they control their own destiny.

they will be 4th or 5th. Probably 5th, just behind Oklahoma

but 2-3-4-5 are so close that it really doesn't matter where they land as any of those teams could end up #2 in the end.

Nah, I am talking after the Arky/LSU game if LSU lost. All these 1-loss teams might spell doom for Arkansas in the computers

Again, OUs loss came in the middle of the season. OkSU is with 2 weeks left. Ill give you the sympathy vote, but it will be a far stretch to imagine OkSU climbing back to the #2 slot..

gotcha. I was getting Bama fans riled up telling them that they'll still be #3 in the computers Sunday, so that was still on my mind

All they have to do is beat OU.

LSU was #1 in computers, but OSU was #1 in some, if I'm not mistaken.

I still see OU/OSU winner v. LSU.

You know everybody wants to discount the power of the computers because they are "only 1/3" but it is amazing of how well they are predictors of the BCS standings. As complex as the formula's are, deep down the voters usually think the same way.

If a team is in the top 2 of the computers they are probably in the top 2 of the human polls - or close enough to make the computers deciding factors
