frick that noise. I would have been in shots and a t-shirt with one of those misting fans on me
Well 2 of the 3 were church weddings and the other one was at dusk. The receptions were inside.
It wasn't bad at all.
I'd rather attend a wedding during a cupcake game than a road SEC game

More weddings April-july than rest of year
April-May are Spring. That is very normal for weddings in the South. I have never been to one in June-July, and the one I went to in September was fricking miserably hot.

If people say "don't schedule during the Bama, Auburn, A&M, or Florida games" then I understand; but people bitching about missing some shite game or a freakin bye week is ridiculous.

Bye weeks are fair game

Believe me, there's a reason why so many wedding venues and services aren't booked on LSU game days

Which one? You said I know it a year in advance. Seems like I don't.
Next year it is the first weekend in November. Has been that way every single year for a while. Before the latest change with Texas A&M, did you not know when the Arkansas game was going to be just because it wasn't on some (unofficial) schedule on the internet?

So now I'm guessing instead of knowing for sure. Got it.
ETA: Regardless, if that's the only date that works for the venue and vendors I want, that's the date it's going to be. Sorry. They'll play again next year, and the year after that too. Maybe even the year after that.

You've been to weddings on 10/13 weekends in a row? And you want more weddings in this time frame?
Geez dude im just trying to demonstrate that their are already a great deal of weddings in this time frame. Why do you argue with every point I am making?
One more time, fall is football season, my friends/family are LSU football fans. It was a courtesy to schedule around it, and was not a problem, at all. That is where I drew the line, BC of my circumstances. I also waited til after jazz fest. I am not condemning anyone for making plans best for them, I just did consider it and it wasn't as big a deal as you are making it.

Now you're just being difficult. It is not a guess. Alabama vs. LSU 2015 will be played on Nov. 7th
2007 - Nov. 3rd
2008 - Nov. 8th
2009 - Nov. 7th
2010 - Nov. 6th
2011 - Nov. 5th
2012 - Nov. 3rd
2013 - Nov. 9th
2014 - Nov. 8th

Well if you add more, you'll have to miss some weddings to go to the others. What happens then?
Your points are pretty much terrible.

You're the one making it a big deal. I've said repeatedly no one is forcing you to go to a wedding, yet you can't stop replying to me about why it shouldn't be in fall. The person dragging this on is you.

The LNCHBOX guy is obviously NOT a LSU football fan. He is either trolling or trying to get his post count up. You can tell by him saying he doesn't care but then every recent page of the thread has more of his posts than the people who apparently do care. It's bordering on ridiculousness now.

Do that for Arkansas. And do it without the hindsight of knowing the schedule changed, because you didn't know that a 8 months ago.

These guys don't grasp that there is no gun to their head making them go to a wedding.
ETA: Your post from page 3 was perfect.

My thing is, people just need to get over themselves. Stop bitching at people for planning fall weddings, if you don't want to go, don't go.

I absolutely remember a time when I was going to 10-15 weddings a year, lasted for about 4-5 years and it was in my mid 20's...right about the time I had the most freedom to go to games/on trips. It's a cruel twist of life that we're set up that way. stupid biological clock!!
I'm a moderate on this, I figure that as long as there are a bride, groom and officiant a wedding will happen no matter who's there. besides...if you goof and make it a big game wedding, you should already know which ones of your friends won't show. if you didn't know them that well, why invite them?
UNLESS! unless, lnchbox, you're a genius and meant to schedule a fall wedding to plan on people not coming and you could save money on all these vendors and venues. you're a sneak, sir, and i'm on to your ruse!

Arkansas 2015 will be played on the day after Thanksgiving like it has been every year they've played at TS for the last decade.

If you legitimately care about someone, a wedding clearly takes precedent over a fricking game. Especially if there are TVs to watch the game with everyone. If you don't care about a person, don't go to the wedding. Seems simple to me.
Some of you people sound like pathetic gumps, like LSU football is literally all you have.

Wrong. See how this works.
