We beat them 7 in a row when we really weren’t all that concerned with them.
Imagine how bad we’ll beat them now that they’ve got our attention?
Congratulations to them on the win. I hope they enjoyed it.

Jimbo rode Jameis to a $7 MM contract.
Jameis left FL ST went down and Jimbo was not ready.
Now he is playing w Sumlin's recruits ..who for some reason did not play hard for Sumlin ... time will tell.

I think Jimbo hiring Elko was one of the biggest hires of all last off-season
Amazing how different they are after one year. The guy is a good coach
yeah been saying that all year... he was plan B for orgeron if Aranda would have left... he is that good...

TAMU is TAMU. as good as jimbo is its gonna be tough
yep agree, theyve never really won there... It would be kinda close to what Saban did with LSU in all honesty but with a different breed of kid substituted for having unlimited resources... I dont think he can do it there time will tell. but they are definately different than years past, ive said it all along, those players believe in what he is doing and that makes them dangerous... Its the same thing with our defense with aranda... They believe in him and what he calls... We just need that on offense and i think we have the tougher athletes than they do...

texas kids are a bit of a different breed, they are coddled and spoiled,
Jamal Adams, Russell Sheppard,
Grant Delpit, Dee Anderson, Ed Ingram, K’Lavon Chaisson, Jalen Mills, the list goes on.
You do realize a good portion of the LSU roster comes from Texas? LSU leans on Texas kids very heavy.

almost every team loses a lot of players each year.
And I just looked at their depth chart, they don't seem to be losing much.

I think this is the difference in Fisher vs. Sumlin. Sumlin wanted the 5* QB's and receivers, many from the Left Coast (sometimes pulling in 7 WR's in a class). Sumlin was handed Johnny Football, Von Miller, OL studs like Luke Joeckel and Jake Matthews. These guys were all from the pre-Sumlin regime. Sumlin struggled to get defensive players because of his system and weak connections in the SE U.S. Jimbo has already done more in one recruiting class than Sumlin did in 6 years if you are looking at "SEC" type of defensive recruits. Fisher has opened up Texas (as it use to be) and we now have recruits from Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, etc. I think the program will get back to where it use to be - run first, tough in the trenches with a defensive mindset.

We have 5 of 8 returning from the DL two-deep. The underclassmen out performed two of the seniors and started throughout the season. Bobby Brown, Tyree Johnson and Jayden Peevy - two freshman and a sophomore - were all three top 15 nationally.
We also only start 1 senior on offense and he's been hurt the majority of the year.

yes, i do realize this, and no, im not saying ALL of the texas kids...there are plenty of tough ones too...we have picked many up, and picked up some good fit ones... but there are many other large colleges in texas and when i think of all of the texas college teams, toughness isnt what comes to mind... finesse is more like it.. its the brand of ball they play... polished, so to speak... Texas high school football is not better because they spend way more amounts of money on it over here, it just means the high schools have nicer things... my dad coached for 50 years in both states, i have two brothers that coach in both states, i have coached in both states... both states have blue collar type kids, the percentage is higher in LA...
Russell Shepperd was my neighbor, i was in the boys ear from the time he was a freshman about LSU... still have not forgiven Miles for what he did to him... (under-utilizing)

This was the only thing I got out of that whole paragraph. Alabama, Georgia, and Arkansas have nicer things too btw.
