The potential deal to fire Les Miles as LSU’s football coach began to fall through early last week as the school’s president started to intervene even as negotiations between LSU and Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher were ongoing, multiple sources have told The Advocate.

. I have no doubt that Alexander was behind the decision but I just can't see Jindal having that kind of stroke any more.

Exactly.

It says right there in the first paragraph that F'King Alexander made the decision.

These idiots blaming Jindal didn't read the story, if they're even able to read.

The fact that Miles helped in re-electing Jindal 4 years ago should be reason enough to can his goofy arse.

Best move in Jindal's 8 years, you can't fire a coach with Les resume and don't expect total backlash nation wide. I am done with this subject, one day history will show that Les was and is the greatest coach in LSU history.

Yeah we're crazy but Georgia is smart, right? Do you work for ESPN?

I just hope we can still get Jimbo when the time comes.

Everything was set up perfectly. Les even went out with a W and a great reception. Then all this. I was excited last week but it was tempered because I knew someone would frick this up

King is Bobby's hand picked yes man. He's only going to do what Bobby tells him to do.

Looks like Muschamp would have been on the market as well.

Timing was right..........LSU failed.

Based on the level of dishonesty in the deliberately misleading thread title I have no doubt the OP is in fact F'king Alexander.

For your deliberate attempt to mislead everyone into absolving you of your sins, you deserve

I upvoted you BeeFense.

You got to admit the story is pretty amazing.

The trickle down effect of Jindal to Miles and how that definitively effects the scheme and play calling of the LSU offense is truly amazing!

I do too because I don't see many out there outside of him I'd be happy to see take the job. Plus with his knowledge of lsu and the SEC it's a bonus.

How bad does the program have to slip in your eyes for his resume to no longer save his arse from being fired? I keep hearing people saying this and talking about keeping this recruiting class together as reasons to keep Les. How many more recruiting classes do we have to keep together? How many more 3-5 loss seasons until we can stop looking at the entirety of his resume and focus on the actual direction of the program?

Yea, he hits the ground running (especially with the staff that was rumored to be in place)

Sigh. I just feel like we're all gonna be right back here in about 11 months
