This is a terrible basketball team, just a cut above Johnny Jones' last unit. McMahon is the only thing keeping them competitive in games

You really think Wade could do better with this lineup? I don't think so
I’m pretty sure the roster gets totally different under Wade.

I can handle losing but lack of effort, dumb turnovers, and doing the same thing over and over even though it’s not working is not acceptable.. .

Not sure but he’s a better coach. Baylor assistant who’s taken Oral Roberts to the Sweet 16, upsetting some very good teams with a top 5-10 offense at a crummy school. If you’re going to go the cheap up and comer route like we predictably did that’s the guy you hire.

Next 4 games:

What is the over/under on # of wins here?
The 4 after that ain't no picnic either. The baseball team might win before the basketball team wins again.

The roster isn’t bad, the way it’s managed is

Idk mad I know there is like 6 4 star players on it but watching them all play I think there is some good,
but I just don't know if there is much to win one on one battles.

South Carolina just pulled off the King Of Upsets, shocking Kentucky in Lexington.
What up with Calipari and the Cats?

Yea, there aren't any wins before back-to-back home games vs S. Carolina and Vandy late in February that even look possible now. This is a bad, bad team that's in utter disarray.

What's good about it.
We have no Guards that can shoot.
We are soft down low.
We have 1 player that could start for other SEC teams.
This team is providing to be what they are, a bad team.
We can't shoot, we don't value the ball, we don't rebound particularly well, we don't defend well.
Ouch

CMM doesn't look very good.
Yes we lack talent but the coaching isn't good either
What do you expect him to do with this collection of Band-Aids ....KJ excluded

The combinations he uses are killing us. For example tonight your 2 point guards are Hannibal and Hill, you don’t start both and you don’t keep them both on the floor together. You’ve erased your depth at the position plus you have 2 non shooting guards on the floor most of the game. And that’s just one of many examples.

We do look bad. KJ is such a good player, but he's pressing on his 3 pointers. He shoots well, but he shouldn't be shooting most of our 3 pointers. Miller also shouldn't be shooting a lot of 3 pointers. In fact, most of the team should shoot less 3 pointers. We need to get back to trying more 2 pointers, because we aren't a great outside shooting team. It appears that our only consistent outside shooters are KJ, Hayes, Fountain, probably Mwani, and based on today, Ward. Hannibal plays so hard. I love his tenacity and his drives, but his vision isn't great. There were many open passes that he missed. Justice Williams made a nice inbound pass after juking his man to get in a good position for the pass. I need to see a lot more of that.

We entered tonight’s game 3rd in the SEC in 3pt shooting, 5th in TOs and 5th in ppg allowed. The things you’re saying aren’t true

Gotta get Cook to come back next year
Posted on 1/10/23 at 8:35 pm to S
You start with
PG- Hayes
SG- Miller
SF- Wilkinson
PF- Fountain
C- KJ
Bench in order
6th man PG- Hannibal
PF- Coleman
SF- Ward
C- Phillips
PG- Hill
PF- Reed
SG/W- Juice Williams
You can mix and match matchups with the bottom bench guys but you can’t have Juice Hill out there 25-30 minutes, Reed out there 16 minutes per and Juice Will while better or more effective players sit the entire time.

McMahon’s obsession with Juice Hill costs us at least 8 points every game
Posted on 1/10/23 at 8:56 pm to Madking
I can only guess CMM knows Hill is better than he is showing and is hoping something changes.
We desperately need a solid PG.
Right now the whole team is in a funk.

Florida won this game at the free-throw line. Both teams made 19 field goals and 5 3pt shots. The Gators shot 16 more free-throws than us and connected on 11 of those opportunities resulting in the margin of victory.
