JR didn't have what it took between his ears. he thought his arm could get him out of trouble every time. flynn was much smarter than JR. JR had more skills, Flynn had the brains, and brains won a championship! imo

I wonder if the racist genius realizes we lost the same amount of games in 2006 as 2007? Only in 2006 the teams we lost to on the road both finished ranked in the top 10, neither team we lost to in 2007 finished ranked.

Or that Flynn did nothing to get LSU into the National Championship Game. Flynn's last game of the season was the Arkansas loss, Flynn sure helped us get into the BCSCG with that one. He didn't play in the SEC Championship Game, which was what propelled us into the Title Game once Missouri and West Virginia went down.

not to bash flynn, but was it an INT vs Arkansas in OT? pretty much all i remember now is the 3OT and Arkansas running all over us.

4th and long in the first OT and Pelini only rushing 4 is what I remember most about that game.

It was an interception on our 2 point conversion attempt after our touchdown in the 3rd OT.

This play still haunts me. 4th and 10 and they get 13 yards.

We needed to get it to tie that game and send it to a 4th overtime. It ended the game.

Remember also David missing a FG by about 3 feet at the end of regulation @ Kentucky?

Funny how football works huh?

Yeah it was close.

Those two losses were two of the worst in LSU football history. Considering how good LSU was, who we lost to, how crappy they were, and in the way we lost.

I am still trying to figure out how Flynn was smarter, and JR didn't have it between the ears. Yet JR threw less interceptions?

I dunno. That was just a fricked up season all together for all of college football, considering how many upsets there were. Last year's Bama and Arkansas losses were prob the two worst I have ever seen.

SO who was a better QB Flynn or Mauck? They both white "smart" game manager QB's...

JR and Rohan were just ignorant gun slingers who believed their arm's could win the games...

This would actually be a good debate. I wonder why there's never a 20 page thread comparing these two. The answer in Mauck, btw fwiw.

Sadly that's what some people believe.

Why do you guys respond to RobbBobb's posts? That guy has been proven to live in his own little alternate reality.

I remember it was very cold, it was also a good game, but the outcome sucked.

Different offensive coordinators. Unlike Fisher, Crowton has shown a willingness to go to the relief pitcher, if needed. The Aub & Fla games might have had a different outcome had MF been in for a few series. We'll never know.
Really? Fisher/Saban pulled Randall & put in Russell against Oregon St. when Randall was struggling = win. Later that year Russell starts at Florida, throws 2 pics early, LSU down 14-0. In comes Randall for a comeback win. How many pic 6's Lee was gonna throw before Crowton/Miles made a change? When did Crowton/Miles ever changed out a QB because he was ineffective?
