Great team builder. UNC Greensboro is an MCAA team with upper classroom. We get to learn from a win we wouldn’t of won until this year. We have Memphis who matches us better but man they were sinking threes with two guys in their faces all night and we had 10-16 pt lead most of the night

Scoring wasn’t a problem last year. There are too many gifted players this year for it to be a problem. But, defense is going to determine how far this team goes
precisely what i've been saying all along. stars and new faces can make it tough to build a solid defense because it takes chemistry and the egos have to be put aside. offense isn't going to be a problem

Last night was a disappointment in that dept
i don't know if i would go that far. sure they can improve but, they weren't getting smoked out there. i just think they're in a good position. defense has looked good both games but, they can still get better. they're hustling, crashing the boards, getting steals, contesting passes and shots. the odds that someone shoots like that again are about the same as pelosi giving trump a hug

Teams don’t generally make 19 threes a game
it's not just that they made 19. if they had taken 75 and made 19 that would be believable. they were 19-33 which is an insane percentage given the total number attempted. and as people have pointed out, many were contested. there's probably not any teams that can make 19-33 uncontested practice shots in a quiet gym

They will improve on perimeter defense. The effort was there. Hey just weren’t executing like they need to. They were out of position on some of those shots. We have 3 guys on the team who played last year (4 if you include Marshall Graves). UNCG returned 3 starters and other major contributors from a conference champion and NCAA tournament team. Anyone surprised at how well they played against us simply wasn’t paying attention.

57.5% from behind the arc was pretty incredible.

I agree they beat A LOT of quality teams last night.

If Tigers can improve on defense they will be tough to beat night in and night out.

28 of 31.

I didn't see the game. 31 free throws are a lot. Did LSU get the Lakers treatment?

You do realize UNCG lost to gonzaga by 5 in the ncaat last year right? And they're the favorite to win their conference again?

we barely beat UNCG and people think we are making a madness run

Did you bother to listen to CWW's postgame presser? He took the blame for the poor 3 pt defense, saying he gave the boys the day off Wednesday.

Unlike previous coaches, CWW prepares thoroughly for EVERY game. He said he won't call something in the game that he hasn't practiced.

Watch Tuesday.

I would like to see them improve on offense. Last night there was too much one on one approach. This year's team is LOADED with incredible atheletes and they would be near unstoppable if they can gel as a TEAM on the offensive side with better ball movement and higher percentage shots. They are going to need this ability to make it through the SEC and need somehow to start practicing it in games. I have confidence that they will. On another note, that UNCG team last night was insanely good from 3 pt territory! Wow! Hats off to them and they are going to be a tough win for anyone they play.

You have to be joking with this statement, right?

Last year’s team with the talent they had (or lack there of) was a top 3 SEC offense. Now this year’s team has had back-to-back 90+ point performances and have been very efficient against two solid teams. I’m not sure what it was last night, but against SLU, they scored 1.33 points per possession, which is really good efficiency. And it’s not like UNCG was a slouch on defense last night. They were tough and even caused 17 turnovers, and LSU still scored 97 points on better than 50% shooting.

I’m not saying there isn’t still room for improvement, b/c there always is. And as you stated, they need to gel a little more, which will come with time. You can see that their timing is a little off at moments. But this team has the offensive talent, and this coaching staff has shown an ability to teach offense.

But in the end, offense is far from being an issue, and is unlikely to be an issue for this team. Defense and getting a little more physical are the keys for LSU to improve on.
