This. I’m a little bit older than Shannon but want to see him win it all.

This. But hold on…

The man makes a good point here.
I watched the entire video and read the letter she has posted on her website explaining her side of the story. I know I will be obliterated with downvotes with my opinion because people have lost the ability to see anything other than one side right, other side wrong.

First- she was wrong in the way she in the acted with the officers. She would have been able to go home without a stop at the police station to be booked if she had just called her son from the beginning. Instead she chose to argue with them and made her situation worse. Her fault.

Having said that, those officers overstepped in my opinion. She was in a building she had a right to be in as the director of the program. She wasn’t vandalizing or destroying anything or bothering anyone because there was no one around. I understand that she called the police initially to let her in because she couldn’t manage her key card. Once she was in the building she was someplace she had a legitimate right to be in. They did not do any sort of sobriety testing. Further, she was never in or even next to her car. Their actions come close to arresting someone for their intention to do something. That’s a step over the line to me. It would have been preferable at some point for them to have backed off, said something along the lines of “if you attempt to drive home we will arrest you” and proceed.

I understand that they were being the nice guys. They were operating as part of a community- the college sna community in and of itself and they went out of their way to try and keep her from getting into trouble with a potential DWI. However, you can’t always protect people from themselves. In this case, I think they would have been better served by letting her make decisions and suffer the consequences.

I kept the tickets after Wade was let go but ultimately declined to renew ahead of this year for all of the same reasons mentioned above.

I had season tickets since the end of the Brown years. Let them go this year. The cost to enjoyment ratio wasn’t working for me anymore.

Hell, he managed to turn an otherwise meaningly NIT game vs. ULL into an intense atmosphere

That was one hell of a week, and a fantastic atmosphere in the PMAC. That’s one of the reasons people want him back- the fire he showed during those days is much needed now.
Anyone have insight into WWs relationship with Verge?
Isn’t this an orbit around the moon mission? Not a land on the moon mission. That comes a little later iirc.

The quotes I’ve read remind me of a certain QB who played for us in 2019. To be clear- not talking about talent- talking about attitude. He seems to have “it”. We will see if that is true.
He pronounces it “atch-iyeas”.

J/K. I have no idea and assume the traditional pronunciation.

Great atmosphere for sure. But SC plays here this year, so there’s a good chance to match or exceed today’s atmosphere in the PMAC.

So he’s getting a better visit than Leavitt.

It’s two things- an acknowledgment of her impact on WBB but more than that it is an awareness program for Alzheimer’s disease which she died from.

Just got home. Was out and about getting groceries, etc. and listening to the radio. Our radio team for WBB is great. They call the game but do it with excitement. It was a fun listen while
I was out. Now if we can hold on to this lead…

Is that a thing? I’ve never heard anyone say this before.

I’m not sure this is true. At least not in my experience at HD or Lowe’s. Employees are useless except they can climb the big ladder or get the forklift to get something off a high shelf.

Yep- I’d just about take him just to have the character and leadership in the locker room.

Iran used to be a little western like before it descended into Islamic hell.

I think you understate that. Iran was a progressive western style society. If you look at pictures from the early 70s you would be hard pressed to say if you were looking at Iran or a city in Europe or the US (except for differences in architecture, etc). Most Americans have no idea what was taken from the people of Iran. Not to say the Shah’s regime was necessarily ideal but it was better than anything that has been seen there since.
