I’m not talking about a corner end zone throw. Go back and do your homework and find the play.

Jefferson was visibly upset after

I know what play you’re talking about. Right sideline. I’d have to watch it again. I don’t think there was anything there

It really is something, but here is this in-depth break down of a play here or there with screen shots and blah blah blah, and the focus is on these tiny justifiable in game moments rather than the giant fricking nutria rat in the room:

We have a head coach that was absolutely useless yesterday as all of these moments were happening around him.

Seriously, can anyone provide one contribution that he made other than calling a timeout or two, at least one of which was ill advised, and another that should have been used to see if we could get a measurement before rushing a play off.

Here we are dissecting every decision of E, Aranda, Giles, Burrow, and not a fricking peep about the man that is supposed to have all of those people doing the right things in the right situations.

How many games under the previous coach could have been broken down this way, yet it ultimately came down to him.

Were you posting these breakdowns for those games Earl?? Forgive me if I forgot your detailed analysis of the Wisconsin and Auburn games in 16 or pretty much every game we ever played against Saban.

Here’s the headline, LSU lost and is likely looking at another 9-3 season AT BEST.

Until we have a head coach that can actually DO SOMETHING on gameday to improve those results, we can keep jogging in place while Mullen and Jimbo keep erasing the year and a half head start that O had to get their programs back on the championship level.

What were some spots in the game you would have liked to see the coaches influence?

Just seems like a forced, made up criticism because we lost.

In the end we lost. The players & the coaches are both responsible. No one is letting anyone off the hook.

Well obviously the rushed FG on what appeared to be a 1st down. If it isn’t overturned then go for it.

100% on the HC.

Also more general, but Kentucky beat Florida in The Swamp by running the ball down their throats.

At what point did we become a team that couldn’t do that when the matchup begged for it??

You go on and on about our lack of pass protection and no time to throw, ok, then buckle up the chin straps and get it done the old fashioned way and fight them for it.

Then when Brosette gashed them for a scoring a drive late he disappeared after that, not to mention earlier in the game as well.

We still hear people complaining about Charles Scott disappearing against Kentucky in 07, so I’m going to go ahead and call out O on Brosette not being featured when Florida’s rush was killing us.

Is that forced? Made up?

Are you sure?

The game was lost in 2 phases, along the OL & with our LB play.

If you’re going to crush the play calling at least rewatch the game & realize how many plays were foiled by our OL. You have to separate that from the plays that are called.

quote:

They provided enough stops & even a turnover for our offense to play with but the OL really killed chance after chance,

Not a single mention of any coaching decisions that could have helped the players that were struggling and turned the game our way.

I mentioned Brossette coming out of the game in the original post. In fact I’ve complained all year about the WR & RB substitutions. Check the tape.

I mentioned so bad calls by ensminger.

Even so you’re barking up a mythical tree as if there is some switch to flip that the coach can flip to win the game. Florida is a good team too. You don’t just decide it to run it down their throat.

Dunno what you want me to comment on. Game is played on the field. Coaching isn’t nearly as black & white. I didn’t see any blatant mismanagement yesterday. Field goal was the right call 100%.

Kentucky has an all sec RB & played FL with defenders out that played yesterday. Fwiw

Doesn’t bother me really. This board is so shallow on both sides. They think one game & sometimes one play can justify a broad point.

We lost. Florida is a good team. The sooner people realize it’s Alabama then everyone else, all whom are pretty even 2-20 or so, the sooner they can cope with our positioning in the CFB hierarchy. Top 25 teams getting knocked off left & right. 2018 will continue to be a war.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but you seemed to put a good deal more weight on coaching in the past. Seemed much more black and white.

Did you always do these detailed breakdowns? What made you decide to start doing them now?

1. Tell me when I ever got on a coach & it was unwarranted. You either have a point or you don’t. So let’s hear it.

I’m not giving anyone a pass. I’ve pointed out things I haven’t liked dating back to last year. My biggest thing is are you putting your players in the best position to win the game? Y/N? I thought in the case of this game we had our shots. And I don’t think there was a specific coaching blunder that cost us a game.

2. Did I always do breakdowns? No. Why did I start? To promote a healthy, rational discussion on the game. To pinpoint players playing well & those that aren’t. To note young players seeing their first snaps. Maybe catching something someone didn’t see on 1st watch.

What's he trying to get at? If he doesn't like your breakdown he's welcome to ignore yours and do his own.

I appreciate the time you put in and enjoy the product.

Lester Earl, thanks for the breakdown. I can’t inagine how much work goes into that.

Anyone criticizing this man should try to do his own analysis.

Thanks again LE

Oh look, another CHS graduate. Is that you Matt? Nick carried the ball for our entire TD drive and inexplicably we sent CEH out for the next (critical) series and he did nothing. Granted the blocking was bad, but RB’s can make a difference in how that looks. I guess our backup RB has taken over for the backup QB as the most popular player on the team.

I don’t understand why people keep dismissing the drops on the last drive. You want to hold everything to an unattainable standard yet in the instance of the last drive want to look past the drops. It’s weird.

Yea we were lucky to get the drive but we got it. The plays counted. When you are within 1 score they always matter.

My point is the last drops had nothing to do with how we found ourselves in that predicament in the first place.
