While I would have liked to see more of Charles Scott yesterday, the execution on the offense was atrocious. Ole Miss's defense was much more physical than our offense. Helms just got beat on a lot of plays. Their linebackers came in and made a bunch of plays too. The running backs made bad decisions and never got into a rhythm.

i agree somewhat criticizing the play calling yesterday .. but not when jefferson was in .. jefferson can run a handful of plays in the playbook and crowton did the best he could with a true freshman in his first real game experience against a quality opponent .. now i didn't like his play calling early on for lee ... why throw the ball over the middle on first down (which is almost taboo for lee) and then run scott off tackle against a stacked box and face third and long a number of times ?? it wasn't crowton's best game early on ...

I agree TigahRag. But the offensive line's execution was horrible. Ole Miss's front tore our line apart. It was quite sad actually.

When you can't run and can't pass, it is hard to call plays. Plus, Jefferson doesn't know the offense, or so that is what the media says.
When you are behind by more than two touchdowns in the second half with time ticking away with your opponent’s defense still playing the same 8 or 9 man front they have been playing all game, yet you keep calling runing plays up the middle and continually going three and out then that is piss poor play calling anyway you cut it. I don’t care how good or bad JJ is, when you call plays like that you are shooting yourself in the leg and not even giving the team a shot to win the game.
Our meltdown yesterday was thorough and included every facet of our team. There is no way to sugar coat it if you are completely honest. It stunk to high heaven and the coaching staff and the entire team should be ashamed of themselves because they got beaten yesterday by a less talented team that was much better coached and a hell of a lot more motivated than they were.

OOOH, I know what to do, 3rd and 21 lets run the ball up the middle. Oh, and another, 3rd and 2, put Scott on the bench and give it to the fullback. GREAT JOB YESTERDAY.

I think 4th thru 9th string and the ball boys showed up dressed like the starters and attempted to play.

I'm sick of people saying Jefferson doesn't know the offense. If that's true then it is the coaches fault for not having him ready. He sure look more poised at the line of scrimmage than Lee. I'm sure his playbook is smaller but he didn't have any trouble getting the plays off and seemed to have a nice grasp of the offense. Jefferson actually led his receivers which is a nice change of pace. It was the first time since Lee took over that I felt like a positive play might occur instead of just dreading the inevitable interception, incompletion, or delay of game. I know Lee's got all the talent in the world but he rarely steps into his throws and thus negates his arm strength. Jefferson's throws were crisp and for the most part on target. One of the biggest cheers of the night was when he scrambled around and then threw the ball away instead of taking a sack. This displayed great athletic ability. Crowton let him air it out in the first half but then his a-hole seem to pucker in the second half and he played it too close to the vest. I think if he would have just opened up the offense we could have pulled out the game. What the hell did we have to lose, they would still be able to use the backup qb excuse which they have been so adept at throwing at there this year. Geaux Jefferson, get well Lee we will need you later, and we're looking forward to meeting you next year Mr. Sheppard.

now, you're saying we don't deserve the NC because we "lucked into it". You self loathing Tiger fans need medication. The insecurity is laughable.

sounds like the other way around, son, stop posting your making a jackass of yourself, take ya meds, if you don't think they had luck in winning the NC last season
