This has been discussed before, but Chase had 1 or 2 actual drops all last season. The two that everyone always bring up against Oregon include 1 bad throw behind him and another that the defensive back made a great hit and knocked the ball out when the ball arrived. Could have possibly held on but not a drop. He actually has pretty decent hands - I hope he gets to prove it. Only 1 ball thrown to him this year that I can remember and he caught it.

And up quite a bit at linebacker. Plus, while I agree that we look like the JL led offense, Mett's not a basket case when he gets hit - huge upgrade at QB.

Gary D is one of the few that I really respect when voicing his opinion. He and Mark May are 2 of the best and brightest...

Mettenberger is world's ahead of either qb we've had in the last 4 years.

Much, much more efficient. Especially downfield. Bigger arm. more accurate. He's still got to improve a few things, but for a guy that's started 3 games in his life at this level he's played REALLY well

That's great and all...but we still have Auburn, Florida, South Carolina and Texas A&M first.

When you add the passing threat we have this year to the same running game this year we had last year, no one--no one-- will stop the LSU offense. This includes Alabama. Our defense doesn't need to be as strong as last year. However, it is very, very strong. Both the passing attack and the defense will be even better by 3rd November

OK, I'll do it. CLM is working on the passing game for sure as the game against the vaunted Vandals demonstrated. Also, he does not hesitate to "burn" redshirts for running backs. Why, oh why did he not play ZM last year?!
