This could definitely backfire on the Tar Heels this year. When the defensive players having already proved themselves and put together their best stuff, and with them now concentrating on themselves as individuals in anticipation of the NFL Draft, they could easily become a collection of look-at-me showboaters that ends up having huge breakdowns as a team.
Interesting and very true. Happened to Florida last year, I've been told.

Are you guys forgetting the lace doily we had for an OL, or the deer in headlights QB? heck our own D ranked in the bottom 1/4 in the country last yr. If LSU faces a top defense first game of the year, in neutral territory, it could be a disaster.....like the last bowl game.

That's what I'm worried about.

Steele lists a Tar Heel as the nation's No. 1 defensive end (Robert Quinn), No. 1 defensive tackle (Marvin Austin), No. 1 inside linebacker (Quan Sturdivant), No. 1 outside linebacker (Bruce Carter), No. 2 free safety (Deunta Williams) and No. 4 and No. 13 cornerbacks (Kendric Burney and Charles Brown).

They better hope those guys can score TD's because their offense sure the hell can't.

Our D was #11 in the country in scoring defense last year.

Yeah, no way we get any better... what a tool. Just remove the LSU by your name and move on then.

I think our offense will be a ton better this year. And we will not be playing in slop.

Remember when V-Tech cAme into death valley with macho hArris and the best D in the ACC - they got pwnd - the site will be Georgia but we gonna whip that arse the same way - we have some talent on Defense - give me shep,PP7, and a motivated drake Nevis over any of their 3 just IMHO of course
I remember Xavier adibi couldn't get past Jacob Hester on a blitz

Believe me, I hope y'all are right, and I DO see us getting better, esp. after watching Spring Game. I just hope Miles has taken clock mgmt. 101 in case it's a close one at the end.

LINK Jaydeaux, I'm a fan but also a realist. Do you always just follow blindly or do you think for yourself sometimes?

I dont care about anything on defense but points allowed and turnover margin and I think we allowed 14 points a game last year that is very respectible

just because you are pessimistic doesn't mean you are a realist. You see it the way you want to see it just like everyone else does. I think our offense will be better, I am just being realistic.

Probably. Would be kinda hard to have a worse offense this year...

So, they can only go up.
