re: Gotta admit, it’s going to be bittersweet not seeing Paul Mainieri in that doug out.

agree whole whole heartedly. Perhaps, he should have been a drill instructor instead of a coach.

The ratio on the OP is shameful.
CPM gave his all to LSU for 14 years and won more games than anyone but Skip.
I know we hit some snags in the postseason but that’s just the nature of those tournaments. We had 2017 in a hammerlock until Walker’s arm blew.
Mainieri deserves nothing but gratitude from Tiger Nation.

It’s nitpicking but he didn’t give his all in 2010 or 2011

2010 was pretty strong considering what we lost from the championship team.
Swept through the SECT and then got shipped out west where we ran into Trevor Bauer followed by the team whose soul we had stolen to close out the old Box (Irvine)

Except he even admitted to falling asleep at the wheel in 2010 after our title. He relaxed and got lazy. To Paula credit he righted the ship but couldn’t get the post season magic back.

2010 was a joke. Started 32-6 then fell apart. Went 1-11 the next 12 SEC games. Finished the regular season 36-20 after starting 32-6.
