I pulled for JJ when he was our QB and now that JL is our QB I'm pulling for him. Nobody can say he hasn't earned that from all True Tiger fans.

I want to see all of our players do extremely well. I personally hope JJ comes out of this clean but I don't think he should start. I think he would do great in a 3rd and short situation.

Sounds like the kind of maturity the team needs in their senior leader

Good article on Lee. It would be a crowning moment for him to hoist the Crystal in the Dome. Geaux Tigers beat the couchburners.

Good article. I have to disagree with the statement he has been given shite over the last 3 years. Yes, he got way too much shite for that first year but I would say the majority of people last year "had his back" and many wanted him in there last year. I'll be a fan of Lee regardless of how he plays the rest of the year. Kudos to Mr. Lee for raising such a resilient son. All us parents are hopeful that our children will learn to be able to handle adversity like that.

My housemate State Penn could not understand why he did not transfer after the 2008. I will show her this article.

He has more character than anyone in football I ever knew about. I know that Joe Roth dealt with cancer while the QB at Cal, but he was super talented and never really fricked up. He "just" had a disease and died while performing at a high level.

It would be the biggest story of the sports year if JL can keep it together vs the big time SEC opponents and LSU wins it all in the Super Dome.

A vast majority of the fanbase is jumping the gun on his performances so far.
I absolutely do not see that. With at least as many people refusing to let go of his 2008 debacle as are willing to take his present performance at face value, I feel the fanbase in general is dramatically underrating Lee. It's like they're all waiting for the other shoe to drop, and are afraid to actually be happy about the team for fear something might go wrong. Which sounds like an absolutley horrifically sad and bleak way to approach what (imo) is supposed to be part of the fun part of your life, if you ask me.

He has passed the ball well and managed the offense well. Against the caliber of competition he's faced, and a sample size of 25% of the regular season, there's no rational reason not to be excited about Lee's performance right now if you are an LSU fan. That doesn't mean it can't get worse, but that is true no matter how great a player performs and no matter how long.

I never disliked Lee. I felt sorry for him. He was thrown into the lions' den before he was ready and could not read defenses. He could have left but stayed. Lee = Pure Class.

but the movie would be better if he were portrayed as one.
Nah, I don't think so. I think it plays better (especially as a Disney flick) if the "misfortune" that gives the fallen star his shot at redemption were a real tragedy. Ideally, it would be an injury to his best friend, the star QB who took his place. In this case, however, it would be the wrongful accusation sidelining the struggling QB who had supplanted him.

Or, they could go typical Hollywood and portray Jefferson as a beloved All-American poised to lead the team to a championship when he was tragically struck down by a crippling disease (some kind of cancer, probably) that be beats into full remission just in time to be there to cheer for his best friend Lee while he leads the team to the championship in the BIG GAME, and to hell with the real story.

ETA: and, of course, being a Disney flick they could easily get Kurt Russell to play Miles. And by the time the movie gets made, Jaden Smith will be old enough to play Jefferson.
