It was well needed

The part of the Moscona show I heard Monday had him teariing LSU/Coach O a new one.

The Guaranty Broadcasting/LSU Athletics dynamic works pretty well in good times, but when there is turmoil, there are fine lines being walked everywhere...and what football is going through is a clear case of "turmoil"
When your conglomeration of radio stations and LSU are partners and you own all of the broadcast rights, it is almost impossible to have "legitimate" sports talk shows without stepping on toes. Hanagriff and Ott and Moscona aren't LSU employees, but they do represent the stations that own the LSU rights....so the tight rope is a small one.
The one who really is caught in the middle is Gordy. He is literally burning the candle at both ends. He is in the business of selling good sports talk shows to the public on one hand, but on the other hand, catering to the desires of LSU and not having your hosts shite on the hand that feeds you...all this while he is the sideline reporter having full access to the team. I can see why it can be a very touchy situation.

Wow they must really despise this place during times like this then. It must kill them that they have no control over what is said here. God bless the freedom of the rant .
Lol
Hey Chicken, care to add some truth to this?

It happened last year when Coach Mainieri got his feelings hurt over legitimate criticism of the offense and coaching staff structure. He was ultimately vindicated by turning in his best coaching performance since 2008, however. I wish LSU took the position that the media is best dealt with by the programs delivering results, not through coercion and pulling participants in radio shows.

Well no shite. He is the official sports information director for LSU. That is another term for PR/media director. It is literally his job to be the "puppet" for LSU. What are you expecting him to do?

If that station is in bed with LSU, my guess is that have been told by their higher-ups to tone it down.
Obviously, but is Moscona too big then? He has been outspoken since O was even considered for the job. No indication that he was told to tone it down.
There has to be something else to this.

Hanny is sick. Ott and Moscona playing up the reasons why he's out and many fell for it.
That's it. Not as exciting as LSU censoring Hanny, though.

Damn. Ott just undressed Donte about his shite talking.
ETA: "Too much woofing for a mediocre player."

So Joe Alleva is literally Hitler?

but has anyone at that station gone on record and demanded that anyone be fired?
No. These guys rarely call for anyone to be fired. They dance around it and let you 'fill in the blank.' I've not heard anyone do that for O because of the reality of the contract and how bad it would make LSU look to get rid of a coach his first real year.

That can be expected from the Ogre/Alleva propaganda. They're getting nervous.

Yeah but for the most part this place is very loose. There are some boards where any negative comments are whacked and out you go. Who wants to visit a board where there is nothing but sunshine pumping 24/7 ? That's not reality.

I would guess the thread titles are sucky...or the threads are redundant.
And I have posed this question before....ever consider posters having a minimum post count before they can start a thread? It is times like these where random people pop up out of the woodwork and just start going to town.
