My take on Harold is he’s just a freak athlete physically. But has a low football IQ . Only way I see him being used is a mark barron way . I think people became really delusional after his break out Arkansas game though . You have to out match your opponent in at least one more phase on defense for Perkins to have a day like he did against Arkansas mainly d line

Sidewalk double standard
Perkins - 10 tackles, 1.5 TFLs, 1 forced fumble bs UGA
“He disappeared and was terrible”
Another player vs Nicholls
2 tackles, 1 TFL
“He was outstanding”
The guy is trying to work backwards to prove a theory facts don’t support and in the process has made several false and hypocritical statements

Yeah and there was a guy yesterday doing the same thing. It's one thing to be critical of his play right now (though they won't criticize the coaches for the way they are using him), but to retroactively trash what he did as a freshman is just unbelievable to me. Some folks refuse to listen to any reason on the matter.

Texas A&M and jumbo abused Perkins by simply finding him and running right at him. I beleive that took away the chance of keeping him near the edge of the line.

Yall need to stop repeating this Micah parsons line.
He isn't big enough to line up on the edge every play. You have to blitz him, which baker has been doing.
He is playing a position where he has to read and react. He honestly isn't great at being an inside backer yet. I almost like where house was playing him last yr better. Only problem is house didn't blitz him enough.
You have to bring him on delay blitzes up the middle or off the edge. At least last yr he could use his athleticism to cover and run down rbs.
The best answer is he really doesn't have a perfect position because of his size. The one thing he should be doing more is going after the qb though. The problem is you can really only do that on 3rd downs and certain situations.
They are trying to make him into a linebacker. He just isn't very good at getting off of blocks, especially in the run game.

Nobody here claimed that Perkins was mister perfect. But he was very good, and much better than he is right now, playing another position.
I'm not saying Perkins sucks, I'm saying he was gameplanned around once he started making a name for himself and it was fairly easy to do so as he was pretty much a one trick pony.
Sure, he had a lot of tackles in the game but many were him chasing the ball carrier down from behind ans being involved in tackles after the ball carrier had advanced downfield.

don't need to be a HC or DC to watch film and see that he is undersized for the position. I don't blame him for it. You can hope scheme and placement changes. Film is what it is. Not his fault. Hard to fill a hole and scrape through at his size, even with his speed. Let's hope he can edge and spy his way into greater impact for his team as season goes on and the DC and others see what is evident.

Besides you can’t name a single time you’ve conceded a point when someone has posted facts to prove you wrong. Not with stats, not with video, not even with your own quotes so it would be pointless anyway.
