Guys get ramped up at a different pace. It’s a little concerning Evans struggled as a starter last year as well, so hard to say if he can figure out how to be equally effective going 2-3 times through the order, but he’s certainly got the talent. Last year, Eyanson looked really bad against the early competition, then outperformed Anderson in the second half of the season. Way too early to give up on anyone.
He had some luck on his side last year statistically. He was walking a ton a people and giving up singles, but always found a way to get out of jams. That’s not very repeatable and isn’t something people keep up for 100+ innings. It’s very early, but he’s actually statistically better in every metric this year, but this time he was unlucky and had some timely hits score runs.
The biggest thing is that with 2 championships, he’s still laser focused. It’s one thing to win one, it’s another thing to maintain the same intensity to continue to win them.
I had one parlay -6.5 and one -7.5. I really can’t believe they went out there the final 2 minutes doing anything to not lose by 8+
That was pretty crazy, honestly. They did absolutely everything they could to not lose by 8. Taking 2’s and fouling with 17 seconds left, but let bama run out the clock the final 7 seconds? That seemed incredibly intentional

Two years ago, LSU came in 2nd for about 15-20 bluechips and only signed one Top 100 player (#96 Jada Richard).

We were considered the favorite for Sarah Strong at one point and that would’ve changed the program.. I’m curious how close we were to landing her.

Good velocity, but at times it looks flat and very hittable.

His fastball would play up way more if he could locate any pitch. Most of his hard hits are when he’s already walked a guy and is down in the count. Everyone knows he’s throwing the fastball and he ends up aiming for the middle of the plate, because he HAS to throw a strike in those situations. For you to blow the pitch past people in those situations, you need more than mid 90’s

Vitello has to be a candidate.

Vitello actually seems like a good dude to be around. He just promoted a douche culture, but when you listen to him speak in any capacity, you’d love to have him as a coach.

Unless you already have Jay Johnson

Considering McMahon started with zero scholarship players committed to the team and looming sanctions, I'd say McMahon had it much worse.

Welcome to college athletics. Our football coach just had to flip 75% of the roster. Getting 8 quality basketball players is child’s play compared to that.
Peetz wasn’t ready to be a playcaller. Doesn’t mean he was always going to suck, but he wasn’t ready to be in the booth running the whole offense. One of the toughest things about calling plays is you have to have the next play ready before the current play is over. Our offense would just stare at the sideline until there was 3 seconds left on the clock then everything was chaos.

He would’ve greatly benefited from having a guy like Ensminger in the booth like Brady did.

We’ve entered the stage where our fans want us to lose so y’all can run to this board to say i

Not to run to the board, but to ensure the admin has no choice but to fire him and make a change. The dude isn’t going to be successful here. No more wasting time.

Its worse because you care less about 1 yr players. Program you build is similar to an nfl system of revolving door, and players have 0 commitment to a program, university, staff, etc. If they care less, it's common sense that the fans will care less. Its great for 1 yr attempt to rebuild, but 3 years of rebuilding through the louisiana high school ranks is a part of what made great seasons mean more. And teams didnt fall apart with 40-50 departures if a coach left, due to the limitless transfers.

100%. I used to follow recruiting closely, even tho most of it was chaotic and pointless because it was still exciting to see the guys that were going to be the future of LSU football. Now, there simply no point in paying attention. Whether a guy is highly rated or a 3* you were surprised to see offered, it feels like they are on borrowed time from day 1.

It’s also nice right now that we are the dodgers of CFB, but that can change quickly and it’s incredibly frustrating to be on the other side. Money whipping everything is cool until you are on the other end of it. Overall, it sucks.
If they win the next game, you’ll still have people on here saying he’s always been a good coach but was just in a bad circumstance.

not get back down the court one time and Mulkey pulled her

If you key in on her during games she’s one of the laziest D1 athletes I’ve ever watched.

I don't understand why anyone would ever leave any of their stuff on public land overnight. The same yahoos that leave trash and beer cans everywhere are the ones who will take anyone's crap if they find it

If you leave something in the woods, you should just expect it to get stolen and consider yourself lucky if it doesn’t.

This sounds great until you discover the property manager will charge you 1 month rent to advertise your property and another month to manage it. By the end of the second or third quarter you’ll begin dreaming about setting him ablaze after viewing invoices for the most expensive maintenance people in the city for mundane complaints.

Did you just not read your PM’s contract? My PM’s placement fee was 15% of the first months rent, management fees is 6% monthly, I have to be notified before any repair over $100 and can cancel penalty free after 120 days of placement. All transactions and payments are managed on their online portal so I can see every dollar in and out.

Of course you could get horrible tenants, you can have a property that constantly turns people or have a major repair that happens to the house, but welcome to investing. The stock market has plenty of risk in and if you don’t manage that properly you can evaporate a lot of money quickly there too. Especially if you are throwing money in it at its all time highs.

If you want safe, get a good HYSA.

If you don’t need the cash and have a 3% interest rate, it would be crazy to sell it. Get a property manager and ride the cheap loan.

LSU was not an attractive destination following tPear’s departure. We expected NCAA sanctions limiting the kind of coaches willing to join LSU

That’s why they gave out a 7 year contract…

It is a massive issue that lsu and its donors are funneling more money into women’s basketball, baseball, and even gymnastics than men’s basketball

You go get a basketball coach who will stand on his head and scream for more resources. That’s what Wade, Mulkey and Johnson do to get the resources they need.

It CAN be but it has to be competitive. Like if another school will offer the $$$ w less strings attached you’re just hurting your own ability to recruit/sign players….

Everyone seems to not understand this with sports contracts. The players/coaches are simply pair what the market will pay them. “Prove it” deals only get accepted when nobody else is willing to pay a player/coach.

Have always liked Durham but he seemed to lack vision at times last year. A new RB coach will help him develop.

An arguably more concerning thing is he didn’t have the same speed and burst. Not sure if it’s just lingering injuries, needs to trim some weight or what, but he wasn’t the same athlete as his freshman year.
