if you really believe he was "hurt" then gullible is written on the ceiling somewhere, just look.

while his capabilities might be limited in comparison to Lee, he has generally managed to "not lose" games for us

In all fairness, Hatch hasn't played enough against quality opponents to say he wouldn't have lost any games for us. Whether this is fair or not to Hatch, well, only Crowton and Miles know enough to say.

Has Hatch performed poorly, though, in his limited playing time??

I haven't seen it....he's moved the chains for at least 1-2 first downs and/or not turned the ball over. His pass play over the middle vs. UGA was a nice throw. Then, we get stopped on a run play for 1-2 yds. and/or a trick play is called that backs the team up, then we abandon the run altogether and go immediately to passing while Scott has proven that he can rip open the middle of the line with draw plays or straight-line running and perhaps put us back into 3rd and short situations....thus, keeping drives alive....that's where I think Hatch has been limited.

Hatch hasn't been given a fair chance and now he won't get it anytime soon. He broke his leg on the first play he played on Saturday - the same play he got the face mask that wasn't called.

Hatch will be out 3-4 weeks, Jefferson will see a little playing time while he heals.

Hatch offers something neither Jefferson or Lee have

MATURITY.

That alone will keep him involved in the offense, he has also shown way better judgement than Lee(i understand he does not throw the ball as much as Lee) But when he is in the game I fell a little better because I feel he will keep his "stuff" together more than the younger guys.

Just my opinion

There is zero reason to play Hatch, if in fact Jefferson is going to be inserted.

Hatch is minimally more mobile than Herman Johnson, and I am quite certain does not throw better than Keiland.

We dont seem to have real trouble scoring points with Lee, and no better than our D is playing throwing Pick 6s may be better than punting, at least we can get back out on offense quickly.....not allowing them opponent to eat clock

let's get one more thing clear here.....Hatch's play (or lack thereof) is not the reason for the losses to Bama or FLA....

I'll give Lee the benefit of the redshirt freshman role for just so long. It doesn't look, from game to game, as if he is learning that basic thing all decent to good QBs know in college ball - don't stare down your intended receiver... don't throw the ball into the hands of that waiting defender... don't do it. He does. Can he improve? I'm hoping so, because he has a good arm. But if the head isn't in the game, the arm doesn't matter.

JJ should be given playing time this year if he is healthy. Burning a year's elegability on one insignificant play is wrong.

Hatch officially has a broken leg but it is being treated like a bad bruise. He won't need a cast just about 4 weeks rest.
