he took it from himself by putting himself in a bad spot. sometimes its best to just move on and start at a new place. the damage has been done to jj in br.

Could he help? Possibly
But why in the frick would we mess with PROVEN success this year and our first consistent offense since 2007 by bringing that guy back into the fold??
You do realize he hasn't practiced with the team since the charges right?
Best case scenario for JJ, he redshirts this year and gets a fair shake at QB next year, but not preferential treatment over mett

His talents fit better with the ole misses of the world. So the kid needs a degree and then a fresh start. Sometimes a fresh start is needed and I think this is one of those times. It really works out well for everyone. JJ gets a degree and a fanbase that isn't torn on him, LSU loses a distraction
ohhhhhh, so it's is your caring nature that prompts you to say this? Got it.
Puhfrickingleez! So, a kid that bleeds PnG should give up and go be a Rebel?! GTFO!

I don't understand why people seem to be so against having JJ back on the team
cuz he isnt a good QB.
quote:
He could offer us two series a game running more of a wildcat offense (with a real QB) bringing a different dynamic
False. We have Shep, Ware, and others to fill this void.
quote:
It would make our offense and Lee better as defenses will have more to prepare for
Nah, the other defenses know how to shake JJ and JJ would force bad throws....etc, etc, etc.
quote:
I think as we get deeper into the SEC schedule and playing against better and more physical defenses having him on the team will be a big plus
Drinking this early? Umm no. Having him back in the lineup would cause distractions that we do not need. Keep him on the practice squad or transfer him.

well he could go where ever he is needed. ole miss just seems like they need the most help.

this team has done more without JJ than it EVER did WITH JJ.
Actually, LSU has the exact W/L record at same point last year. Still a lot of football to play.

he doesn't lead or can't lead this team to a BCS Championship! he doesn't have the grey matter to do it or the heart.
imo
If JJ comes back to practices and the coaches (you know the ones who actually witness and evaluate play) feel he needs to start, then so be it.
There isn't one frickin poster on TD with qualifications to 2nd guess the coaching staff.
We are only here to cheer the team on.

Guess what? All that matters are his teammates' opinions......and I'd be willing to bet they love him. So, where's the damage? The selfish fan's who doesn't give a shite about any of these kids as long as they win?
If he's a true Tiger and I want him to stay a Tiger. He deserves it.
On handling it: again, RS him and see where the chips fall in Spring/Fall 2012.

I wouldn't mind JJ taking a few snaps as a running threat.
Yes, because the running backs we have now are not good....good gawd you people. If we wanted a running qb, we would bring in ware or shep or magee.....give it the F&*^ up already.....he had two years to suck at LSU...new era.
Also, all you hacks saying he should run plays in the red zone....guess you haven't checked out LSU's red zone ranking lately...we really do have some idiot fans....you guys think JJ is a good runner...simply because he couldn't pass....so his limited running ability made it seem like he could run....but if you had to compare him to almost any other running qb on the team, or rb....he loses in a landslide. Get real.

so you think his loud mouth aunt wont pop off when mett bets her nephew out next year?
If jj gets a degree and moves on maybe he could get a shot at the next level after putting up some nice numbers against defenses that are more on his level of talent.

Jordan Jefferson, healer of bad offenses.

You are either an idiot, or a family member. You think any rational LSU fan wants him starting over mett next year...haven't you seen enough triple digit offensive rankings and 3 and outs? You people, I swear. Transfer him, Mett to starting qb next year, and if you want a running mix.....magee or randle.....get real people....jj sucked at lsu....

My point of view is allowing him the opportunity that was taken from him.
Lee was the starter until an injury "took away" that opportunity. Why wasn't he immediately inserted back into the lineup?
JJ deserves nothing, life isn't fair. The offense is doing fine; there's no need to force something that isn't needed.

he just needs some hepping.
maybe jj could go to texas since he seems to play well against big 12 defenses or go to baylor and fill the gap left by rg leaving

How many teams have won the MNC using the 2 quarterback system?

Its a free country and Les will handle that.

i guess they believe crowton was all the issue and not lack of talent on jjs part. I dont see what is so wrong about a kid getting a degree and then going to play at a school that plays in a conference that fits his talent level.
