I for one love Hawthorne. OK so he makes some mistakes. I wonder how many people on here could do radio broadcasts as long as he has and not screw up.
He's the voice of LSU sports to me... I just hope he doesn't try to revive that singing career...

if people were on here saying they could do a better job than this statement might be relevant.

Hey Busch, Do I win something for making the elite group..How 'bout a bourbon on the ROCKS....Your treat at Walk-On's....

I will say this about the foul which makes the point somewhat relevant. The only reason they fouled is that Thornton mishandled the pass and didnt have a good handle on the ball, thus the WSU player went for it fouling Thornton. In which case, Hawthorne bitching about it could only have been because he didnt see this fact. I like Hawthy overall and not bashing, and agree that we should just enjoy the win, but just a clarification.

Hawthorne is great! No need to get on this bandwagon.

I guess this thread is going to be started after every basketball game?
It would be much easier to accept the fact he is the Voice of the Tigers and isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
Tigers win! Tigers win!

It is so time to elevate Patrick Wright
Nothing against Patrick but NO WAY he gets promoted to the be the "Voice of the Tigers" even when Hawthorne is eventually replaced.
