tdroppings needs to declare a moratorium on new coach hires until we have lost five games...after that, miles' fate is set and rational discussion on a replacement can begin.

What about Billick?
Brian Billick is a damn clown. Would be an epic fail in the college game. Couldn't handle the pressure-cooker that is LSU football on a day-to-day basis.

Well, the way we played last night, that 5 lost games looks inevitable, because there are a LOT of teams that we would not have beaten last night after we packed it in the second half. You cannot do that and beat most quality opponents- just ask Ole Piss, and they got clipped by an FCS school that had played their 1st game in 2 years without RP!!!

I really do wonder if Muschamp would take the job.
Muschamp is not a long-term solution. Once Georgia fans get tired of Richt, Muschamp is going home.

Will Muschamp is not going to leave Texas. He is the heir apparent there.
Pelini wont leave Nebraska. Nebraska is a better gig than LSU, and he has it working for him.
LSU would probably be stuck stealing a guy from a mid level Big 10 or Big 12 team (as they have done the last two times around).
Ask yourself this: when was the last time LSU hired a big name head coach away from another top 25 team?

Any of the above BUT we're stuck with what we've got for the 2010 season, for sure. I know the buck stops with Miles but Chavis' defense gave up more than 400 yards passing, for Pete's sake, and that was without their top receiver in the game. Truly, I'm worried about Vanderbilt now.

That was the general feeling of Bobby Bowden.. He never returned to AL..

Don't need close ones like that. You don't have to run up the score but at least keep playing like you are behind.

play FORD, not Ridley
play Ware, not Ridley
play Theriot, not Ridley

Like I said last night, we made that Yates kid look like Drew Brees out there, particularly in the second half. We can be thankful that kid didn't have one more throw at the end, because defensively we were lost at best at the end of the game.

I am a huge raiders fan and i can tell you Gruden would make a great head coach at LSU. His personality is perfect for recruiting.

He coaches high school ball... That tells me he likes teaching ameatur athletes.
Likes and being good at it are two different things. Would Gruden like the year round recruiting?
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Gary Patterson from TCU.

Yep.. LSU would have a recruiting machine.. $5-6 million a year might just do it..

See, for whatever reason I tend to agree totally. Louisiana is not that hard to recruit, and I think Gruden would do extremely well not only in Louisiana but nationally because of his name and his personality. He is sort of friendly-intense, if you will.
Gruden would do really well in Baton Rouge IMO.

I think that you and everyone like you are stupid sacks of virus shite. Oh, and I want all of you to drink rat poison
Why, because the majority wants a competent staff to coach our football program that we all love??? Because we want to dominate football games and play up to our level of talent and not frick around for 1 half of each and every single game??? No, TGFN57, why don't you GTFO, because YOU are in the tiny minority.

Hey don't let this guy get under your skin. He attacks everyone. That's how uneducated people tend to argue - with attacks and no logic.

LOL, I love that $aban pic. I wonder how many times his headsets have fallen off his head and covered his face. I can think of several times off the top of my head. Funny pic

If you can recruit and are a decent coach you should be able to compete for the SEC (and therefore NC) most years at LSU.
