I don't think Orgeron would be a good fit at LSU right now. He's been at Ole Miss, Tennessee, and USC, and while that experience is a good thing, the guy is sort of used to being HC and I'm not sure his addition to the staff would be a totally peaceful transition. In other words, I suspect he'd be an on-staff source of friction with CLM and that wouldn't do the team any good.

Ed O is toxic. Remember this is the guy that took his shirt off in the lockerroom at Ole Miss and offered to fight the starting defense...dont want.

Coach O and a lot of people don't get along. I don't want him near our program. He can churn out some good recruiting in spurts and he had USC playing pretty well, but he's been pretty toxic at just about every stop.

From Wiki:

"Starting in 1991, a series of personal problems began to surface for Orgeron: a local woman filed a restraining order against Orgeron, accusing him of repeatedly attacking her. In July 1992, Orgeron was arrested for his part in a bar fight in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Orgeron acknowledged he had been intoxicated that night and had grown angry when not allowed back inside to retrieve his credit card.[6] In October 1992, Orgeron took a leave of absence from the University of Miami coaching staff for personal reasons; the departure turned out to be a permanent one, however, and he was replaced by assistant coach Randy Shannon.[7] Taking a respite from coaching, Orgeron worked on his personal life: the permanent injunction against him was eventually rescinded, and the felony second-degree battery charges he faced were dropped.[6] He stayed with his parents in Larose, crediting his father for helping him get his life in order.[8]"

Damn, and you guys thought JH33 had problems... No wonder hd did not get the USC job.

I just watched another elite football player from Louisiana commit to Bama today. You may think that is ok. I think it's unacceptable

Frank is damn good coach and a helluva recruiter. I hope he stays at LSU for has long as possible.

NO coach will land every prospect you want.

What is Mawae'e current position? He's on the sidelines every home game.

He actually a volunteer coach now. Coach Haley asked him to help the D-line with o-line scheme video break down.

COACH O & Frank would be epic. And FYI- none of these locks have committed. Where's this epic recruiting snowball?

Well they aren't going to USC so obviously coach O wouldn't change any of that.

Ed O would probably come to LSU, intentionally do recruiting violations, and then report LSU himself before the ink is dry on his contract somewhere else. Dude hates LSU.

That's what I have been saying- Orgeron has some secret hatred for LSU, not sure why.

Yike! I didn't know Coach O was so upstanding. I retract everything I said about him coming here. On the other hand, when he leaves coaching he looks qualified to work as a guard at Angola.

Hmmm - Sounds like exactly what our defense needs - somebody in their face on the sidelines instead of a laid back guy sitting in the press box.

OP has been reading my posts. I've been saying this for a month now.

BTW, Frank can be replaced as RC, but stay on as RB coach. Orgeron can take over DL/RC. Haley can move to LB's (Where he played in college) and Chavis can coach DB's. This would be an overall great improvement to the defensive position coaching.

I personally would love to see Strudawa GONE!! He is the worst recruiter there has ever been. He has about as much in common with the young buck studs he is trying to recruit as I do with a room full of queers discussing room colors. Orgeron along with Wilson would be unstoppable! But probably won't happen. O has played second fiddle long enough. None the less I really hope "Stud" gets canned bc no one is going to steal him away.

So we have elite dt's and Bama isn't cherry picking Louisiana talent? Please show me some evidence of our dt's being developed and please do tell me how Bama is not cherry picking. Oh wait all you can say is "so dumb". Name calling is bull shite. Give me more sir.
