Recruiting is a basic requirement.
For 2014, Cameron pulled in a Top 3 QB.

For 2016, he had a Top 3 QB committed for over a year until he flipped to his home state school. He backs that up with another Top 3 QB planning a visit.

You are COMPLETELY full of shite.

On the one hand, you blame him for sticking with Franks and missing out on QBs for 2016.

On the other hand, you don't want him to recruit a 2016 QB because you think it might scare off Narcisse:

Dwayne Haskins Sets OV to LSU!

Does this scare off Narcisse? Tbh I'd rather do whatever it takes to make sure that Narcisse is the future

Honestly, could you be any MORE full of shite?!?!

Cam does a great job as OC. Sadly it's the qb coach aspect that is lacking. When BH or previous qb can complete plays as designed the offense rolls and keeps the defenses off-balance. When the qb struggles with basic routes he has to rely on running the ball.

Doesn't hurt that he had Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry, Trai Turner, Zach Mettenberger, La'el Collins, Jeremy Hill, Vadal Alexander and Jerald Hawkins one year.

And the play calling was a joke this year. We were just lucky we had the best RB of our generation wearing purple and gold.

You are asking for an honest assessment of Cameron by a bunch of fan boys most of whom have little if any serious football playing experience and none of whom have any big time coaching experience?

Is that right?

This is sort of like asking a blind person to select the colors for a room. Or a deaf person to critique a Mozart symphony.

Note to OP:
Get over yourself.

No, It's basically the only requirement in College. CLM is a great recriter and an average coach. Talent will win you 80% of games

Because if you have enough talent all you have to do is get them dressed out for the game, transport them to the venue and just let them do what they want?
Ok.

Thats the reason these boards exist arse, to talk all things LSU football, Cam has been subpar, I think ALOT of college OCs could have done what we did with all that NFL talent, one more thing, even that year, there were MANY times when the O wasn't flowing, it was Mett, Jarvis and Odell just making good throws/amazing catches on third and long.... I thought Cam would be great here, he has not been

A lot people on this board are so anti-Les/Cam etc. they become blinded. Cam is the OC that developed Drew Brees and designed a killer offense for the Charges with Antonio Gates and Tomlison being the feature stars. His Raven teams played for NFL championships and his offense won the Super Bowl, and is a good coordinator. He does have to mix up play-calling, leverage the RB and WR talent in space, and get a TE and RB passing game going. Also, we will have a junior QB and it will show in productivity.

so basically, you've proven my point

he scared off a better QB in Narcisse. And why? Because he was all in on maybe the most overrated prospect in the class in Franks. That's not really debatable, maybe you should try watching instead of being delusional and defending him.

I'm just a poster, if he wants to go after another QB for '16 then great, but it better be a damn good one if it puts Narcisse' future here in question. And AGAIN, he failed at that!! Basically because he ignored Haskins(a better prospect) while obsessing over Franks(who basically sucks) So you can frick off with calling me full of shite....CC is a clown and you're grasping at straws defending him

I get it now. The offense has to "flow" on every play? Like in the pros?
If the offense is working its luck. When it doesn't score a TD on every play the OC sux.

Is that how it was when you played/coached?
Geeeze where do you people come from?

Cam's not the worst thing to happen to LSU ever. BDP promoted by Les to be defensive coordinator then fired and rehired to coach special teams is tied for the worst with Les promoting Studwara from Oline coach to OC.

The problem is that it seems all of our Qbs struggle with reading basic routes. That shite needs to get fixed pronto.

Yet you'll hear how "non-debatable" it is that Bama always has better talent than LSU.

Considering what we have seen on the field recently, it's pretty safe to say that CC is not earning his salary. And now with the embarrassing QB recruiting debacle that has and is taking place currently....is it safe to say that CC is the worst thing that has happened to LSU in recent memory??

The fact that you typed this out makes me think you're lost on this.

quote:

Offense--stagnant, predictable, ineffective, failure to evolve

Been that way since before Cam Cameron, but at least we did have the Mett year regardless of what criticisms you have of that season's outcome.

Recruiting--missed on Patterson, Macvittie, Haskins, Russo for 2016 because of his obsession with an overrated Franks; while also jeopardizing our chances with Narcisse in'1

Patterson was never an LSU possibility.

Haven't missed on anyone else yet, you're still really lost.

So why is Cam Cameron still here??

I understand with your level of awareness of the situation why you'd ask this question, just let the adults think of the tough stuff.

What in the actual frick? No school has top QB's "dying" to play for them. Thats why they have to RECRUIT them. This is crazy talk.
