Honest assessment? Look at all the young players playing. In 3 years we will talk about this season being crucial to the run they are about to go on once Kelly flips this roster with his own players. Durham is a huge development that could mean +1.5 wins, imo. Nussmeier must start to put together complete games, and the defense must continue to be opportunistic.

This is pretty fair.

There’s a ton to be optimistic king term about and with Durham we can finally be more balanced which will help both the offense and the defense.

Week by week we are improving.

Not much more you can ask for at this moment but to get to the playoffs Nuss needs to take that next step OR the safeties have to get figured out.

Watching BK and seeing post game comments tells me he is on that page as well.

like he did against SC? Please stop. Perkins has what, maybe 4 tackles in 4 games this year...not looking at stats. His instincts are not all that. I guarantee you that we have another athlete than can spy him if they choose that path. It is amazing how this board always overreacts to a single game.

If they haven't made a change at Safety yet, then it tells me we don't have anyone else that can beat out Burns or Ryan.

As for Nuss, what are you thinking, needs to up his game up to around 80% completions?

Not really.

No - they aren’t.

I find your revisionist history to be fascinating.

They have been rotating a ton.

Trying to develop young guys while not sacrificing majorly to do so.

I think he needs to connect on more deep balls and take some of the opportunities to keep it and run it himself.

These aren’t outlandish things and very reasonable criticisms.

Is it a black thing like Lester that every single comment is bashing Nuss? Let me guess, you want collins.

Your eagerness to jump to racism screams you're a pussy. We had a black Heisman winning, #2 draft pick QB that y’all complained about every week. We didn’t scream racism we defended his game all the way until WAS drafted him 2nd overall so we didn’t have to anymore. Stfu about skin color & deal with it.

We are not an elite football team but if a couple things break our way we might sneak into the playoffs.

I think 9-3 is our ceiling. This upcoming 4 game stretch is going to be very difficult to go 3-1 or better.

I don’t think we can guarantee a win vs the tide, but I think if we play our best game we can beat them.

Bro according to "jimmy the leg" he says we are gonna beat Bama. Nothing i say means anything so he is the goat bro. I'm putting my 10k on the Tigers cause he said we gonna win. He knows stats too. He also says I said this 2 years ago when I wasn't even on this site 2 years ago but hey, okay I was bro i was and thats what i said. Your the shite.

(Shhh, don't tell him but we ain't good enough on defense to beat Bama this year. His all knowing knowledge says otherwise. Don't tell him he's a wannabee moron. We'll ok, you can actually be one.)

The offensive passing game is one of the best in the nation (considering the loss of the top 3 guys off last year's offense, that, in and of itself, is an impressive achievement by Kelly, Sloan, Nuss, Lacy and company).

I like the grit of which the defense is showing an increasing amount (and I have been quite critical of the defense for the entire Kelly era). There is markedly improved play (even if the tackling is still iffy) from the front seven players over the season. The run game looks incrementally better game-over-game. I'm even cautiously optimistic about the play of the corners. The safeties are the safeties and without significant (note I don't say "Major") personnel changes at the position, I think that will remain a weak spot. If the corners don't continue to improve, that will be true of the entire secondary.

Improvement in the secondary play, short-yardage running and just tackling/physicality generally and the team would be elite or near-elite.

You are basing this off of Bama beating Ga thinking Ga is what they have been. They are not. They will not make the playoffs. They lost a lot of skilled players and are very very inconsistent. They scored 6 points against Clemson in the first half, should have lost to KY who completely dominated them to the tune of 25 first downs to about 15.....and while they had a good second half against Bama putting up over 300 yards, they sucked in the first half.

I don't know why people always overreact based upon one game.

That really depends on which tide we get. If we get the tide that showed up for the first have vs. UGA, then we are likely in trouble. But if we get the tide that showed up for the second half against UGA, we can beat those guys.
