this year 6-2

safe to say we are on the uprise lol . WW got the tigers playing harddd

I think LSU will have a decent year, but Jones was 8-2 last year (including a blowout win over Houston) before the wheels completely came off and LSU only won two more games all season

Wade is working hard, but this team is still very bad defensively. I don't think they are destined to go 2-14 in SEC play, but let's not call it a "better" season just yet.

Houston was not as good last year. They're a solid team - They blew out Arkansas and beat Wake Forest.

What an ignorant thing to say.

Have you watched the games?

If you can't see this team is night and day better than last year you are blind.

Nothing said was not completely factually based. LSU was 8-2 last season before getting their doors blown off by Wake Forest. They are a better coached team this season, but they are still really, really bad defensively. That not just my opinion. The numbers show they are in the bottom 1/4th of the nation in several defensive categories. They are 223rd in defensive efficiency and approximately 60 spots below the 2nd worst defensive team in the SEC (Ole Miss at 164). For reference, LSU finished last season ranked 280 in defensive efficiency which Wade himself said was one of the lowest rankings for a power conf. team in many years. LSU's in the 200's and they haven't even started conf. play yet.

That said, there is NO REASON not to be excited and hopeful for the future. I think the team/program is going to continue to grow as the season goes along. But every time LSU gets a nice win people lose their minds and start penciling them in at the top of the conference and NCAAT only to be angry and disappointed when they don't live up to those expectations that should have been there in the first place

Defensive problems are way easier to correct than offensive. Half of defense is desire and effort. If you can’t dribble, pass, and shoot...well ...you’re screwed on offense

The team looked like zombies walking around with no plan last season.

I don't give two shits about the stats right now. I've seen both teams in person and this one is light-years more disciplined, focused and energetic than last years'.

Perimeter defense must get better, yes...but there is zero chance last year's team would have even been in the Michigan game, let alone win it.

I'll bet you any amount of money this team wins more than 10 games. In fact, I'd be surprised if we don't finish with a winning record.

There were times last night where UH made long 2’s and 3’s with a hand in their face. Not much more we can do against that.
