With the worst QB in the history of LSU and a coach that knows nothing about OF expect to win. I don't think Les had his team ready. He thought he could run the option to the short side of the field & move the ball like the last game is an idiot. JJ don't even know how to run the option. What happened to JL who won 8 games when JJ was not playing? I have tried to make excuses for Miles in the past, but i truly think he deserves the name MAD HATTER!

There is not a damn thing that can defend Les Miles. He wasted 4 years of everyone's hard work and time by sticking with Jordan Jefferson. A guy that he knew damn well could never get it done on the big stage. Then to top it all off he blatantly wastes a championship opportunity against a weasel like Nick Saban. The worst thing that could happen to this program and its fans happened last night.

You can't gripe about the offense in the first 8 games at all.
But boy, people are mighty upset about the last 6 games offensively...Who started 5 of those 6 games by the way? So much so that they're calling for the head coach's head.
Bottom line, is Les made a GRAVE mistake vs. Western Kentucky starting JJ and reverting to the 2010 spread zone-read & option/QB run amok offense...and completely abandoned the offense that got us 30+ points a game in the first 8.
1st 8 games: Pro Style, power run & play action
last 6 games: Zone read, option, QB running, no passing.

He did his best. Sorry but your offense failed because it ran into the top defense in college football in a long time. Nobody was moving the ball on Bama last night.

Not doubting this...Bama's D was flat out awesome last night.
Then again, we only ran about 10 plays. And we'll never know if we COULD have moved the ball, because of a combination of reasons...including No QB change, Lack of a true passer, crappy playcalling.

I don't care if he's won 99% of his games - last night was inexcusable. Less than 100 yards total offense? The worse performance I've ever seen at any level. Les Miles is the Head Coach. It's all on him - that's why he gets the big bucks. He should go elsewhere. This i just another of his meltdowns - remember Ole Miss time management etc? If I had a vote (and I realize I don't) I would vote for his dismissal.
I really hope you aren't serious and are just trolling. Like everyone else, I am very disappointed about the offensive gameplan and execution, but only the dumbest people alive want to fire their coach after a national championship game loss.
LSU has finished the season in the top 5 of the AP poll 10 times since it began in 1936. 40% of those have been under Les Miles in 11% of the time. Yes, lets get rid of that guy and get someone else.

You are putting too much stock in the LSU offense.

Although i dont think ls\es needs to go, I do think he needs to answer to someone as to why he didnt change and take JJ out. I know if i made a business error so blantant my boss would demand an answer. Les why (and no bullshite) why did you keep a guy in whom anyone could have atleaset match his sorry arse? Please tell us Les? Please im trying to understand.

If Bama met a defense like that, would they try the same 5 plays for 4 quarters without any changes or wrinkles?

Good point. I'll say that Nick would have adjusted his game plan and ditched the option and try to get the ball to Randle downfield. Oh and having Shepard on the bench did not make much sense either. Oh well, we'll be sure to have another war next November. Good luck next year, you guys are likely going to be preseason #1.

Take a deep breath. Exhale. Now, say "13-1 and SEC Champs." Repeat until September.

I will always love the Fighting Tigers, but Les has lost me. I am embarrassed that I looked past his issues, etc. Never again.
How he treated Jarrett reminds me of how Mack Brown treated Major Applewhite after Sims joined the team. After that, I have always pulled against Mack Brown and his teams, though I do love Austin and respect UT.
Miles is now and forever will be paired with Brown in my mind.

We should hire Kirby smart. Mark schlabach said he would lead Lsu to a natty this decade a few years back.
