re: How do outsiders perceive Miles?

In casual conversation some of the UT fans here in Austin think LSU is a non-factor for the BCS championship going forward. When I ask why, they chuckle and say, "inconsistent play and game-time decisions". If asked to elaborate they say just say "the head coach".
Granted the sample size isn't large: about half a dozen.

I wonder if Houston Nutt fears LSU.
Les is probably tops on Houston's Christmas gift list. Les makes Nutt look like a decent coach.

Les Miles is the reason why LSU isn't feared anymore. I love having him at LSU. LSU won't ever be bad again like the 90's. There is too much talent every year. But yall could be so much better with a decent coach

Oh I can handle that. You just can't resist getting your jollies bashing someone behind his back can you?
Ok. Glad to get that straight.

That's the amusing part of this. You got guys who couldn't coach a pee wee football team taking cover behind screen names to insult/degrade/belittle/take cheap shots at a coach who is open to the public at his office or via call in shows or via email.
They would rather hunt in packs in the safety of an internet forum and with hidden IDs to express their displeasure than to confront the man openly and fairly via the avenues made available to them.
And they pat themselves on their back for speaking the truth and telling it how it is.
When did it become virtuous to sit hidden in the rocks while taking shots at another who stands in the open?
We got some real brave types here.

UncommonCents, I gave facts. You can ask for "proof" all you want, but all of those things are facts.
Then give us all a cite, a link, anything to verify your assertations. That is all we ask. If you wont provide these then you are just another internet bullshitt slinger.
All but 1 or 2 of those things are easily proven.
Again, cite please.
If Miles had been contacted or interviewed by any school, other than UM in 07, it would be out there as none of that stuff is a secret and the Miles supporters on here would've been offering it up in defense of him years ago
Again, please offer at least a link to anything that would back this up.

a guy on atlanta sports talk radio said it best. "miles is a good coach. not the best.good guy. good recruiter. kids like playing for him. but with miles on the sidelines, its like you're playing with matches" as far as the ole miss debacle, i liken it to an officer and a gentleman when worley freaks out in the decompression chamber. however the last 1:30 unfolded at oxford, miles freaked out. "and that cant happen, EVER" he was clueless in handling the clock. the plays that were allowed. the 17 seconds wasted. he wasnt aware of timeouts nor who was in control of calling them. things got worse when he was busted on video telling jj to clock it. he later denies this and throws the qb under the bus. people make mistakes, but this is like pilot error. some things are inexcusable. ole miss embarassed me as a tiger fan and former miles supporter. he lost me after that. i want to like the guy, but that was a nationally televised disaster.

Ok so bye.
But good luck finding a coach that doesn't screw up sometimes.
But really man it was months ago. Are you that insecure? You still sitting in your chair crying in your light beer over something that happened months ago over which you had no control. Are you that stupid?
I guess so. But the good news is that you have lots of cry baby company.

dont drink lite beer. when i drink i wanna taste it. the ole miss game wasnt a 2nd qtr "man, we shoulda kicked a fg instead of going for it on 4th down". it was a gigantic calamity. he basically f*cked away any chance to win that game. he left the players hamstrung because we was completely befuddled. its big boy football. he lost that game because he couldnt think on his feet. man, how i'd like to get paid 4 mill a yr to kill patients in the back of my ambulance. it is his job to give them the best chance to win. i wouldnt call the ole miss game a signature coaching moment. i have made mistakes on the job, but i have never taken away a patients'chance to live with one of my mistakes. oh, and fwiw, ole miss 2.0 was witnessed at the end of the cap one bowl. just in case you have forgotten. obviously, you care, because you are a ranter like me. or did you just stumble onto this site by accident?

He was not in this alone. Where were the assistant coaches to give some advise sometimes? Everyperson does not make the greatest decision at times, but where were the assistants?
