I think Miles really felt like Fisher and Pelini leaving caused a lot of havoc and set him back in some ways.
A lot of his hires since they've left (except for the co-dc fiasco) have been for guys who have already been head coaches and had their shot. That meant not only were they proven good assistants (thats why they got shots as head coaches), but they were also less likely to get new shots to be head coaches.
He wants stability in the staff. There is a risk any time you hire someone new.
I think most of this staff is here for a few yeas, assuming we have enough $$ to spread around and keep them happy.

Les chavis are here to stay. Maybe krags bc he's older. If he leaves it's bc of medical reasons. I think and hope moffitt is here to stay. I think Wilson may leave.

I live in TN and can only talk about Chavis realistically. He never wanted a HC job when he was at UT. He always said he didn't care for all the other mess that comes with that. He just wanted to coach D and enjoyed the teaching aspect of that. That plus the kind of loyalty he has tells me he isn't going anywhere for a while.

Yeah he's had plenty of opportunity to leave tenn and didn't until they completely fell apart. He could have been coaching in the NFL or be a head coach by now if he wanted to. He knows what he wants to do and that's defense. Very loyal and selfless man.

I wouldn't be surprised if Les retired here.
I certainly hope so. He's already, in my mind anyways, the best coach we've ever had.
