Like Warren Zevon sang, their just excitable boys. Welcome to the rant CBS, and good luck with the rest of the season.

Dear Chineese Bandit Slayer... SO YOU ARE FINISHED...WELL, ALLOW ME TO RETORT... You have no idea what your team or your fans will encounter Saturday night...You are a good team for your division, but this is big boy football...Your team is taking the place of UL Lafayette on our schedule...This is a warm up game for the real schedule...Do not fool yourself and I did pick up on your well formatted and thought out column in which you disguised your condescending feelings. Contrary to popular beleif in your area, not all of us spell the word (GO) Geaux here and if you want to compare your team experiencing 90 degree heat and 60-70% humidity to the climate in Death Valley, feel free, because I am sweating sitting here typing this. All in all, forget about the heat, forget about the nominations for awards, the bottom line is, it is a long ride back to West (By God) Virginia and you will surely take back a large black iron pot full of humble pie...Now if you are done with your with your WV ranting...come on over, drink a beer, eat some real food and we can talk about it on the porch after you get this arse whuppin...Our defense will be punishing all night long...I truly feel sorry for you TIGERBAIT.

I know exactly what WVU is facing dude. We've beaten a few 'big boy' football teams in the recent past. Lost to some, as well. Spare me the ULL comparison, if you really expect anyone to take you seriously. I hope your players are looking at it the same as you, and see it as a warm up game. If they do, you'll be giving me the same excuses that GA and OK have in the past few years. I didn't disguise any condescending feelings in any way. I said I have the utmost respect for LSU, and that I've been a fan of sorts, for probably much longer than you've been alive. I never made any mention of how most of you spell 'Go'. You must have me confused with someone else. You should get air conditioning. Hell, we even have it here in the cabin, in the woods. I won't be there, so the long ride home won't affect me. But believe me, I've mad a few LOOONNNNGGG rides home, from arse whippings, one of which was from NO, after the Gators spanked our arse in the Sugar Bowl. It's a long trip home from Penn State, to southern WV, and I've limped that one many times. Despite your erroneous claims of my 'ranting', I'm glad you are so confident in your belief that you'll embarrass us on Sat night. Pride goeth before the fall.

LOL. Yeah, I did. In fairness, I answered several posts before I read the instructions to post a quote, so I was lagging. Great GIF, BTW.

I wouldn't use the most under-achieving team in the SEC and "Big Game" Bob (1 and 5 in BCS games) as references....just saying

Hell, WE don't even know what we are right now. Best case scenario for the EERS at this point is for it to stay that way. If things start clicking, well, I hope you take the tailgating in for all it's worth.

Do the 'eers have a chance? Sure they do! But, a certain loud-mouthed mountain bunch learned a very valuable lesson in 2008 and this team is quantum leaps better. Understand this, the Cinderella stories are the RARE exceptions and you will find out what the RULE is on Saturday night......in Death Valley.

If you mean VPI, it couldn't happen to a nicer bunch. I despise those clowns. I'm well aware of the fact that you haven't lost an OOC home game in over a decade. That's why you are favored. But they still play the game, and can't mail it in.

Maybe, but he's undeniably right about one thing - come Saturday night you and your entire team are TIGERBAIT!!!

Granted, our defensive leader and likely All-American was only a 3-star........Kelvin Sheppard.

So were Steve Slaton and Pat White. If a player commits to WVU, he is a 2 or 3 star. If he changes his mind, and goes to..say FL, Bama, or ND, he is suddenly a 4 or 5 star. Such is life when you aren't one of the glory teams.

Yeah, your average high is cooler than our low. At kickoff Saturday night it will be in the 80s.

If you know football like you do weather, I'll be a bit more confident about Sat night.

CBS, good to have you now, on topic: the award nominations include players from various conferences, many of them way low on the food chain. Citing this does NOT lend validity to your argument.

Thanks for the welcome. I beg to differ that those lists don't lend any validity to my post. When you have 50 or so guys on a list, that must mean that the vast majority of folks are considered to be somewhat less than those few on the lists. That's why the NFL is stocked with guys from UNLV, Jacksonville State, and yes, even Marshall.

Devine will play at the next level and would have seen ample playing time had he come to LSU. Along with many others I was dissappointed when it did not work out for him to come to B.R. He is outstanding and it will be interesting to see how a very young defense adapts to the best back they will face this side of 'Bama. Good luck after this week.

I believe you are correct. Thanks, and good luck to y'all, after Saturday. As I said in my original post, I like LSU. I just like WVU a LOT more.
