Sounds like a lot of assholes in this thread. Y'all are really going to get on Mahtook's case and say he shouldbe a "better leader"? Jesus, y'all are igorant frick sticks. That kid gives every fricking thing he has on the diamond and has represented this university to the best of his ability. He's hitting .370 with 10 homers and 23 SB's and HE'S the one who deserves the shite storm...I see.
I'm sorry if you're jealous that every woman in Baton Rouge wants to ride the Mahtook Express, but that's no reason for you to get on here and pout and blame his leadership as the reason 6 other players absolutely suck.
Damn there is hope for me after all becase as cynical as I can be...no way would I ever blame Mahtoook and his "leadership difficiencies" for the reason we're 4-14 in the SEC. You and anyone else who is blaming him are pathetic people who probably do nothing but moan and gripe all day.

I sit out near cf. The kid runs out and tips his cap to the crowd. He is TOTALLY accomodating and has signed autographs for the kids; throws the baseball to kids to hold on to (which makes their YEAR); takes pictures with fans, etc. He's the face of this program. If there's one guy who I would say -- in any sport -- give his all, it's Mahtook. Let's blame him though. Jesus, not that any of you were likley watching LSU in 1994 (nor could tell me what happened that season), but if you were, you'd be blaming Todd walker and Russ Johnson and their poor leadership for not winning us a second title in a row.

The absurd base running efforts the last few games. The play last night when the catcher was 3 feet from the plate and Mahtook tried to score.

Side note. Mike gets stupid amounts of pussy at LSU without any effort whatsoever. It isn't the same lifestyle than most people so don't feel too sorry for him. Yes you feel reasonably sorry for the season but he is living a pretty good life at LSU over at ole Tigerland
