Most players have kids that you never hear about. You'd be surprised the large number of them with kids before they ever step on campus. I saw a study a while back that discussed the number of athletess with kids at LSU and it was sad.
Yeah someone at my church who's involved with the football team in some way said that LSU's football team accounts for 53 kids or something like that. I know that Jai Eugene had a kid before coming to LSU, and that was part of the reason he went to LSU instead of Michigan. Another example is Ryan Perrilloux's incident at The Varsity involved his pregnant girlfriend.

No way he is the 11 best player in draft.
That's just someones quess on the level of achievable talent, not on where they will be drafted. I do agree with the list insofar that CJ has tremendous upside. I think that's what the list is about, therefore they're calling them prospects. Ten Tigers in the top 300 isn't bad at all BTW.

What's the difference between going out now and going out in June for the MLB draft? I think he has a better upside as a baseball player, but he would be sacrificing a bit o money.
Then again, if the lockout happens, he'll be feeling mighty dumb for not going the MLB route IMO.

I don't know why there is such bitterness towards the opinion that Jones is one of the top 20 potential talents in the draft. I didn't think he had a bad 2009 considering the shitty decision making by his head coach to retain and promote dumb and dumber as the defensive two-headed monster the year before. I suppose that everybody on the defensive squad was disenchanted in '08. In 2007, he was a primary figure on the team's run for the NC...as a frosh.
I'd sure as hell take Jones over Dwyer and Bryant. That's an easy one.

Chad Jones got poor advice, IMO. I think he is an undeveloped talent.
He basically did what he wanted, and his NFL stock, IMO, did not rise.
Somebody, in his orbit, filled his head with the idea of leaving early.
He'll find out soon enough.
In fact, I think he might have been a better MLB prospect.
if you are a college player with a chance to be drafted in the 1st 2 rounds, you leave this year. Why risk a possible NFL lockout and not getting paid?
Or why waste another year getting under-developed. Maybe one year getting NFL coaching will in the long run make him a better player

Next season their will either BE now season or it will have a rookie pay scale. Try again, and this time look at the economic ramifications.

And did not even put Ciron Black on there
He had a really rough combine and wasn't exactly a beacon of hope during the regular season. He should have left last year, hes a much more of a run blocker than pass blocker.

Also both Keiland Williams and Charles Scott are in front of Ben Tate. Im a homer so i think it might be a mistake. I just wanted to know how yall feel about your 2 running backs?

Ben Tate is really good imo.
Chad Jones is entirely too weak to play line backer.
