There's a reason for this...it was fugly...no, FUGLY.
Look at those pics...this does not look like LSU. If you don't see the letters on the side of the helmet, you would never know that this was LSU.

My second LSU game ever vs UF in 1999 we took a tour of the stadium friday before the game. I remember we went to a back closet and every gold jersey was hanging there. We tried to snag Kevin Faulk's Jersey and they said it was a no go. Considering they haven't been worn since then im sure nobody would have batted an eye.
