Lol wut?

We've won it 3 times in 8 years. bama has won it 3 times in the same time frame.

I thought LSU was the 2011 sec champs. Correct me if I'm wrong.

lol, who was their coach when Miles got here?

Has their coaching and winning changed since then?

good god.

Maybe you missed them playing for their 3rd MNC in 4 years in a couple days....They're the best in our division currently. It's a fact.

Satan at Obama has 2 sec championships.

Miles since saban at bama has won 2 sec titles.

You guys have every rt to be mad at les. But some of the shot you guys give reasoning for is so far off base.

Watching putrid performance used to really piss me off. Now, apathy is more prevalent....not joy.

LSU has won more under Miles than at any other time in the program history. So, if this is putrid, what was the entirety of LSU football? We win more than we ever had before... I kind of like winning. It's fun. But to each his own.

And you certainly aren't apathetic. You are posting on a message board. You care a lot.

quote:

-If you get great enjoyment from watching your favorite team underperform time & again and waste opportunity after opportunity to win championships (albeit all the while having good results), then I feel sorry for you with your ability to accept less than the best from yourself & those around you in your life.-

We played for the national title last year and won the SEC title. Yeah, the title game sucked, but it was one game and I've moved on with my life. No reason to keep reliving it. Instead, i chose to remember 2011 as the greatest regular season in college football history by any team, and one that I had a blast watching. Could've ended better, but life's not perfect.I choose to have fond memories of 2011 instead of unhappy ones. Because the good outweighed the bad. Hell, the great outweighed the good.

This team was two plays from playing for the national title. They didn't go our way, but sometimes that's the way the ball bounces. The Alabama game was a great game. sure, I'm disappointed we lost, but it was a game we'll talk about for years. It was a great game. Next year, those two plays go our way and we play for the title. Why not?

I have no control over whether LSU wins or not. I put on my lucky socks and do my game day rituals (it involves lots of whiskey), but I have no impact on the game. I cheer hard for victory, but once its over, I can no more change the game result than I can make the sun set in the north. I accept this level of success from LSU because THIS IS WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE.

In the past three years, LSU is 34-6 and 20-4 in SEC play. We've won an SEC title and played for a national title. We've also played a ton of exciting games that were a blast to watch. This year was a bit of a disappointment, but we had a lot of bad breaks with injuries and suspensions, and we once again played one of the toughest schedules in the nation. There's only a handful of schools in the nation who are at our level of success right now.

If you're unhappy with these results, then go right ahead. But I think you're choosing to be angry. Feel free to feel sorry for me, but I'm the one who is having fun and enjoying the team's run of success instead of wishing it could be even better.

I feel sorry for your obvious ability to accept mediocre performance from yourself in your life. (I really could care less)

I see quite a few similarities.

Well call it how it is, you have Saban envy, like a lot of LSU fans. He's gone, he isn't coming back.

That doesn't change what Miles has done since he's been here though.

And about 5 plays away from 5-7. The margin of error for this team was razor close all season. That's why some of us weren't shocked at all when we lost to Clemson.

It doesn't, but the fact remains we are 2nd or 3rd best now....thats just not good enough for me. Maybe you enjoy losing, and yes, 2nd is the first loser.

See, this is what i thought would happen to LSU when Saban came back to the SEC. A slow slide to meaningless bowl games. I had come to terms with having a new coach and was cool about it because the team was doing well enough to be in "that talk". But since the little troll came back to our division, i said to myself that BAMA bumps us down a notch eventually and we get 9 and 10 win seasons while another team plays for the conference title. Well, it's started and with the 3rd title in four years on the horizon for them it's looking like someone told me the end of a book...don't want to read it now. The 9-10 win seasons are there and you don't fire a coach for that...meanwhile, another coach is notching a win or two more and playing for it all. I personally don't aspire to applaud 4th place or 3rd place unless it's my little kid at field day.

Thos is what i was and who i was responding to captain no nuts.

I specifically said we finished 2nd in the west this year and 1st last year. but go ahead and take shite way out of context and you only reasoning was because we lost to clemson. Who has nothing to do with our sec record.

On that note, bama wasnt the best team in the sec, it clearly shows LSU as the sec west champions and the sec champions. There is no way around it. We wont he sec in 2011. LSU was the best team in the sec in 2011 with an undefeated record.

How on fricking earth can we be sliding if we we the reigning sec champs up until a month ago.

Not really the same. You could remedy your problem by not watching LSU play. But instead you come on here and say how miserable you are by them not winning. It's a ridiculous paradoxical existence you describe.

I on the other hand am fine with my "problem." I guess I do accept "mediocre" performance even though that word is grossly misused on this board. LSU's overall record since Miles has been here far exceeds mediocre.

certainly being generous this year since we were the 6th pick in the bowl pecking order & lost that bowl that we were obviously too good for...

But the fact is that you aren't really in the race. You aren't on the team, the coaching staff, nothing. You don't control anything and can't influence the outcome by pouting or anything. So you might as well enjoy the ride and let the chips fall where they may. Enjoy it for what it is.

Define now? if you say for this season you are correct. But that doesnt mean we will never win the sec again under miles or without miles. I honestly dont belive we are 2nd or 3rd best when there are about 4 teams rt now with legit shots at winning the sec, 5 if you count tamu and then 6 if auburn can climb out of the gutter.

other than Alabama, LSU is the most recent Sec champion so i dont see how we can even be not number 2 until we continue to finish 3rd or 4th in the west. Bama didnt win the west 2 years in a row and now they are back as sec champs. I have no reason to belive they will win it next year when they have yet won back to back sec champs under saban.

Why can't some of you realize that you lose complete credibility with this argument?
Even many Miles supporters have come to grips with the fact that this argument is extremely hollow.
