Eh, the game passes everyone by at some point. Succeeding in CFB today takes a different skillset than it did 10 years ago. Most coaches who were thriving in CFB back then has either retired or they've regressed significantly.

In his defense this is real life not a script. Stuff changes, other schools get involved. Family members get in player's ears. If LK himself had given reports on exactly what was going to happen he would've been wrong too.

For my part LK has delivered on the transfer portal. OL is understandably still a concern but teams with good OL aren't letting them walk easily like they will skill position players. I think he's doing about as well as can be expected.

Well you can't make players sign. So far these top transfer QBs have just been using LSU for leverage. And who's to say these "top" QBs are the ones anyway? Chambliss wasn't some highly sought after QB. It's probably time to temper expectations as far as QB goes.
