I certainly don't bash and boo the team, however I feel miles should be held accountable by the AD and the BOS for this year's season. I really don't think Miles will truly acknowledge his faults with this years disappointing season.

so what had more of an effect on the program as a whole: perceived fan actions, or losing 5 games on national television this year and looking horrible in 4 of them?

only REAL fans blindly support retard coaches

Don't you think recruiting can be affected by all of this negativity? Fans can definitely help bring a program down!

explain. All us fans want to do is hold les and his buddies accountable for this disaster for a season.

Dude, Miles could get up there and apologize, whine and boo-hoo about this season all he wanted, it's not going to change ANYTHING that has happened on the field. We have to focus on the future (our bowl, recruiting and 2009). It seems there are a lot of Tiger fans out there that want Miles to hold a Crying Session about this season and get up there and say I am sorry to the world, but even if he did it would change NOTHING.

I agree...but from this point forward fans can add to the noise level that makes the staff's job more difficult.

Recruiting can be affected negatively by getting your arse handed to you regularly and having ZERO quality wins .

bullshite. Retarded coaches can. There is not one top program without a tough fan base.

he can start by firing his entire defensive coaching staff today.

I'm not even sure what that means...do you want them all fired? fined? given 40 lashes in the town square? personally apologize to you?

I like how those who identify persistent problems and complain about the regression fo this team are "so-called LSU fans!"
You tell 'em kjanchild!
You tell 'em kjanchild!

dude we are the biggest underacheving team in college football this year. Do you want me to bring up the fact that LSU almost lost to fricking troy at night in tiger stadium. If miles cared about this program, he would fire his entire defensive coaching staff today.

While I do agree that BIG changes are needed on the defensive side of the coaching staff, my point was that Les having a crying session for the LSU nation would do absolutely nothing. He needs to be focused on LSU football's future, not what has taken place in 2008. He does need to whack certain defensive coaches today, ASAP. No question about that, but to get up there and apologize for everyone for this season is a damn joke. All I care about now is winning the bowl game, getting a better defensive scheme, maintaining our damn strong recruiting class and preparing for a much better 2009 season.

should we applaud them for not earning their salaries?

Please make it stop.
It's called the Rant. People bitch because they CARE, not because they want to bail, but because they give a crap, and I must say that it is deserving. I'm not for hammering every inch of what I think are issues of concern because no team's perfect, but the wheels have completely fallen off the cart here, and you would either have to be comfortably numb, completely unobservant, or a ridiculous cheerleader not to see that these areas of concern must be dealt with by the coaching staff, promptly, and for the better. The coaches deserve to be held accountable and criticized for this year. THEY BLEW IT BADLY.

Well, what's the root cause of the negativity? Poor performance on the field. What do you think matters more to a recruit: fans or watching a team with a bunch of talent getting pushed around on the field? Do you think a recruit is going to see that and say "hey, maybe I can be the next Curtis Taylor and watch my potential late round draft pick status disappear during the course of a season!"
don't get me wrong. i love LSU, want them to succeed, and am looking forward to see what kind of changes Miles can implement to right the ship. but clearly there needs to be some changes in the coachin staff and there's a desperate lack of leadership amonngst the players.

personally, i'd like to see the team win 2 or 3 more games next year, have a lot more discipline, and not look as horrible in defeat as they did this year..if not, than yes i want them all fired.
