LOL, no. We have a national seed locked up. We won the #1 conference this year.

As much as I'd like to believe we have, nothing is written in stone about the SEC champ getting a national seed. No reason to risk it. The last thing the commitee will see is LSU went 0-2 in its last 2 games and wonder how deserving they really are.

Like they did last year with Georgia?

This is probably the obvious order he is going to use right, Josh336?

Yep, you got it

Dude, we have a national seed locked up. They would never not give us one for winning the #1 conference.

any cred. you might have regarding baseball is slipping away very quickly. we do not have a national seed locked up. i promise you if we go 0-2 and ole miss or alabama win the sec tourny they'll be getting a national seed and we won't. heck throw florida in there too.

You mean way back in April, then we won 23 straight?

I'm talking about georgia going 0-2 in the SEC Tourney and still getting a national seed

What about the other team who won the conference? I'm sure you'll say we beat Ole Miss 2/3, but I doubt the committee will care as much about a series two months ago over what will happen this weekend.

The SEC is likely to get two seeds. Right now, I think that would be LSU and Ole Miss. But Florida only finished a game back and has a higher rpi than both teams. It's not far fetched to think Florida could grab a seed if they win the tourney. If that's the case, it could come down to which co-champion has the better tourney.

I see what you are saying, but each year is different. A lot depends on what other teams have done, so you really can't say what happened in one year will happen the next year. Besides, who would want to risk it?

I thought Ole Miss won the SEC this year, at least that is what the new banner they will hang on the outfield wall will say.

So we'll slip from a 3-4 national seed to not having one

We have a national seed, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Link that tells us right now we are a 3-4 national seed?

I don't mean someone's best guess. I mean the NCAA.

I would start Coleman tomorrow against either a red-hot SC team or the hot home-town team (Bama).. it's a big game. Plus, you can bring back Coleman Sunday and have him ready to go far if we make it that far.

Ranaudo would be fine to go Friday and you try to roll for as long as you could with him as so to keep out the middle relief

That's where all the projections sites have us at right now. If you don't want to believe we're a mid national seed right now that's your problem. Anyone who follows baseball realizes we definitely have one right now and are not on just the cusp. Once again, we won the #1 RPI conference this year. The NCAA isn't about to drop us out of a national seed after doing what we did in the regular season over a meaningless tournament for us.

That's my point. It's a projection and no one knows the exact criteria the committee uses to choose national seeds.

ok...check this....if we go 0-2 and alabama and ole miss make undefeated runs to the championship and alabama wins it all, they could possibly both get national seeds and we would be on the outside looking in

look at the records
lsu 20-10 41-15 overall
om 20-10 40-15 overall
ala 18-11 37-17 overall

It's not like this is tough to figure out if you follow baseball.

And if hell freezes over...

EDIT: And Alabama is of no threat to get a national seed. They have an RPI of 26.

don't bitch out.....you said we definatly had a national seed no matter what we did in a tourny that means nothing to us. in my scenario which is quite plausible i'm proving your arse wrong.
