Not if we win it all - they will just lock that away to use early next season if the offense isn't quite as productive and the defense doesn't look as smothering as they think it should be.
Negas are as predictable as the rising sun.

The problem is winning the natty might be tough with this defense.
Is 2019 Bama a good team, yes or no?

I see you joined in 08 so I assume you missed the 07 title. Had you been around, you'd know that your thought would be correct
I actually predate 2008 but I had a handle problem.

Back in the day - someone said that a PERFECT season for LSU would be = "Undefeate + untied + unscored on + Heisman trophy + Head Coach fired."

This. I can’t wait to hear people complain when Brennan, or whoever is the qb, is only completing 65 percent of his passes instead of 80 like Burrow is lol. I really do question if people realize how special this season and Burrow really is in the moment. Too focused on what the end result may be.

And you will probably be one of the first ones to bitch about the defense AFTER winning the title. By the way, the game has changed and a good defense isn’t a must to win it all. That ship has sailed for the time being.

Rant overreacts to EVERYTHING. I try not to listen. 10-0 ranked#1!!! Concerned about the defense? Yes I’m concerned but LSU will take care of it.

Which team is it not going to be tough for?

I used to think this was a stupid take, but the way some people are just completely missing the boat on the defense has me thinking it would totally happen.
tRant lives up to its name again

no truer statement said today...

This is getting so stupid.
People are not complaining. People are talking about a weak spot on our team. The defense. People are wondering why our All-American safety doesn’t look like one...or why our 4-5 star d-linemen don’t get to the QB.
If any of you think that Vandy with their 125th ranked offense puts the same numbers against Clemson or tOSU that they did against us...then you just don’t watch football or you have PnG glasses on.

These post always make me laugh. As if the world is black and white, and there can only be ONE right thought...either you have to be completely happy with the performance without recognizing clear flaws OR completely miserable without recognizing great success. As shocking as this may sound, you can be very happy with the overall outcome, but still cognizant that there were some issues.
The games for LSU are only going to get bigger, and after this week, the competition will be better than Ole Miss. All year the offense has been able to separate when the defense faltered. But all it takes is one tipped pass, or one bad break and the game will then be put on the shoulders of the defense to make a play. Are you confident right now they can make a stop? Vs some of the better offenses they've played this year they generally haven't in the second half.
They didn't stop Texas once in the 2nd half.
With a 20 point 2nd half lead they allowed 4 straight TD's to Alabama
They allowed a completely one dimensional OM team to score 30 points in the 2nd half
Vs. Florida a horrible throw by Trask may have been the only thing that stopped the game from being tied 35-35 late in the 4th (before the INT UF had driven 76 yards on 11 plays)
The offense has been tremendous and answered the bell every single time this season. But it would be a bit more comforting to know that they wouldn't have to walk such a fine line vs. the better teams. NO ONE is upset with the way the season has progressed thus far. But there is reason for concern going that the defensive issues could rear their head at the worst possible time and cause this team to fall short of a very realistic possible championship.
I seem to remember a lot of similar posts in 2011 when the offense was sputtering late in the season (Inability to consistently move the ball vs. Bama; 1st half struggle vs. WKU; First half struggle vs. Ark.; 0 first half first downs vs. UGA). It eventually all came crashing down to ruin an otherwise tremendous season

We want have to worry about if our defense doesn't improve!!!

Dude, we have (albeit a very small number) a section of rantarded idiots who would do more than just complain. They secretly fantasize for the day LSU win its next NC and the next day fire its head coach. Sick fricks who are probably masters of self-destruction in their miserable loser lives.

This defense resembles 2007 post Auburn when injuries almost helped derail a NC season and 2001. Alabama and Arkansas put up some yards and points. Auburn put up both in a loss. 2001 secondary was awful, especially in back half of season. Arky game was a shootout and even Illinois racked up a lot of yards and points in their loss to us in Sugar Bowl.

I don’t think that our fan base is this morbid.
LSU fans have been conditioned for 10 years to expect the defense to win games. so they are a little overreaction prone? Probably
but the reality is that our defense can’t stop anybody (including a freshman who can’t throw the ball 15 yards accurately) at all in the second half.
It’s a concern.
I guarantee you CEO is not happy with the defense the last few games in the second half.
Is it that upsetting that fans see the same thing?
