I was in St. Peter's Square in Vatican City when His Holiness Pope Francis appeared on his balcony, and pointing at me mouthed the words, "Vamos Tigres!"

Cool. My Italian Tiger fan experience is Lake Como. We sat down at a restaurant and T Bob Herbert’s Mom walked over and introduced herself. We didn’t have any LSU gear on but she heard the “southern accent” and asked where we were from. I had to bring up the Tennessee game. He saved Les’s arse!

Yes Sorrento may have been my favorite stops of many while I was there, the views are spectacular.

I got "rolled tide" by some redneck in Burano from ACROSS the canal. Totally obnoxious. I had no comeback it got me so off-guard. I saw another guy wearing a LSU shirt in Verona. I told him "geaux tigers" and he was just blank. In my broken Italian, I understood it as he just found the shirt in some euro store cheap. He had no idea what LSU was. In Venice, I sat right next to a table of fat black ladies from BR LOVING some gnocchi con vongole. Small world...
