f Dinardo woulda left Carl Reese and Morris Watts alone and let them do their jobs he would STILL be the coach ... sound familiar?
That is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

THIS!!!!
Tepper was the guy that said it took 5 years to learn his system. Tough when most players were there for 4.

Les is where Bobby Bowden was In the early to mid 2000's. Bowden still recruited well, still won most of his games. But his team looked disorganized, they lacked fire and intensity, and he did not know how or wanted to make it better.
The NFL was littered with FSU players but it never translated to big wins in his last years. It was just a matter of time till the players and recruits figured out that they were going to war with a man that couldn't take them where they wanted to go. Then the wheels fell of in his last few years.
The wheels will start falling off in 2016.

Go read Donnie Jones book, he was on both CGD and CNS teams.
He says how weak, both mental and physical they were when Saban took the job.
Miles walked into a perfect situation.
That is from a player on the team.

And just a point that no one talks about with CGD, that 1998 squad had a but load of critical injuries and virtually every game was a dog fight. The amount of bad beats we suffered was staggering. Talk about unlucky. 1999 also had a slew of injuries but the D was horrible and he lost the team.
Meh... the defense was nearly just as HORRIBLE in '98 and we all know the reason why (well, those who were around then sure do).
Without checking the actual stats, we averaged like 32-36 points on Offense, yet gave up 35-38 on Defense. And that doesn't all equate to the injuries.

1997 team (10-2) and 1998 team (4-7) put 40 guys in the NFL!!!!
Yea they won 10 games that year, but that has to be the weakest 10-2 team in history. Those 2 losses were blow outs, by the gumps and florsux.
FOREVER LSU
